For /Crosshotbar and /hotbar, allow us to actually set stuff.

I have to agree with PArcher here..

I play i88 scholar all the time and I beat extreme primals and Turn 5 no problem with it. In an expert dungeon all you ever need to do is put your pet on obey, cast eye for eye at the start of the fight, spam physic/aldo (i only use aldo every 2-3 cures), and get your fairy to cure when you're global cooldown is active. Some people also macro Physic/Embrace into the same ability putting physic first so that if you spam the button your fairy will always try to embrace your target while you're on gcd.

Rarely do I even need to use my actual fairy skills and when I do I typically pop rouse and put it in sic (the lazy method) then put her back into obey after the abilities are popped. Even if you do manually control her abilities you should ALWAYS try and use them off the global cooldown so that your actual heals are not impacted by trying to control your fairy. Off the top of my head the only fight that generally Requires me to place my fairy is Turn 5 to stack it for fireballs.

Two bars should be more than enough for scholar, if you have a good tank they'll pop cooldowns at the start of a SR pull so that you can shadow flare and get your dots bane to multiple targets, aside from that toss miasma 2 occasionally and let the dps do the work. If you're doing all that and people are bitching at you about it then you're not the problem, I assure you.

Again, NOT the point of the topic. This topic is NOT about me. This topic is about how it would make sense to be able to use the text commands to do certain things with a keyboard that you could do with a mouse.

In regards to this, I just don't see why you would ever need it. Sure it would be a quality of life change and there's nothing wrong with that but I don't think many people would care about this particular thing because you can play every job efficiently without it and that's been proven.

You can play every job efficiently without a mouse or keyboard even! I mean why would you EVER even need those? Can't understand why the game even supports them?

Seriously though. Just because you may not understand how or why a person wants a particular feature doesn't mean it won't provide valid functionality improving the gaming experience. You don't HAVE to use the /crosshotbar command after all. So if you don't think you need it, then don't use it. Just please try not tell others what you think is and is not necessary for them.
