There is an automatically made pet bar you can activate via settings and tapping R1 will bring it up then return it back to your reg bars. I don't personally see a need to directly command Eos, which 99% of the time I use, except to tell her move there. If during Diablos fight your told to do the doors and mark them, your being overworked. I refuse to mark and heal that fight. Wasting crossbar space to setting up marks is IMO a silly inconvenience. A DPS should be the one marking the doors, it's not the hard to "DPS" a monster and have the camera looking elsewhere when they is next to no AoE markers to worry about. I'll open the doors but Healing, marking doors and adding some DPS; you've now become a slave to your party. The tank's roll is to just keep enimty and very little else there, and DPS is just DPS and if targeted by a gravity ball make it land a ways for the general conflict.
    You're getting worked too hard and the complaint your are making is just making that point even bigger. The AI on the healer pets are rather good for basic healing, but the last 2 skills can be easily miss timed if you want them for a particular moment but I never bother commanding them since I think of them more as my healer support buddy. If you ask any of the people I've partied with, they will most like say I'm a great SCH healer, hell some might say I'm a better DPS then the DPS since I'll often pull hate off tanks unprepared for my Shadow Flare; Bio2 Miasma Bio Bane starter combo under cleric stance. Sometimes I won't drop the stance since Eos is usually enough for smaller pulls, but not for pulls of 3 or more monster groups.
    Again I'll say it, your being worked to damn hard. Your not the slave of the party, your foundation of the party. If you break, the party falls with you.
    You are probably right that they are just giving me a hard time, but again, considering how many expect it of me, it seems like that is just the normal thing.

    If you're a well-geared SCH (i80+) you can handle speed-runs in Brayflox if everyone else wants to do them. Its not hard, Adlo and Lustrate spam, Whispering Dawn and that other Eos healing ability. DPSing...no one expects that, never seen anyone ask a heal to do that, even in really strict pre-mades.

    OK, so people expect you to actually run the dungeon and not autopilot. Marking doors is always best for a ranged person, healers especially; those first few seconds nothing is going on for you, so Healers are just best for the job. As for "special targets" (whatever that means in these dungeons), its tank's job to mark enemies...

    Yeah, you're just trying to overcomplicate things. I have no idea why, but you are. None of the 4-man dungeons are hard especially for a healer, and the only time you have to do any serious healing (outside of incoming wipes) is during a speed-run...which is NOT the norm.

    Again...have you done any raiding? And what is your gear?
    How would I have raid gear if I don't do any raiding... And for some reason, it seems to be the norm whenever I play. And no, they don't expect me to "DPS when I can" They expect me to be DPSing while healing. It isn't a "when I can"

    Example: I'm struggling to heal them since even divine seal+eye for an eye+virus+cure II+Swiftcast Medica II+Benediction+Shroud spam or Adlo spam with Eye for an Eye, Virus, Sacred Soil, Aetherflow, etc. is only barely keeping them alive-and I pretty much have to spam adlo since it is the only thing keeping them alive since gal is dropping so fast (How much I heal time-wise is more important than mana-wise). Considering how people probably shouldn't be doing speed runs of stuff with mostly i44-i70ish gear (or the tank might have their soul gem unequipped to "make the game a challenge" on top of doing a speedrun. However, on top of that, my tank in that situation is usually yelling at me for not doing "my job" of AoE'ing the mobs. This has happened multiple times. Maybe it is the same tank, but it isn't something that has only happened once.

    These days that I do raiding to take it easy... Because expect LESS of me in raids.

    Maybe I just have especially bad luck, but what you are doing is essentially looking at a blind person and pointing at a crosswalk with no sound device and telling them, "Oh, the normal way is to cross the street when you see the walking symbol."

    Or telling some kid in extreme poverty who is obviously malnourished that normally, people just eat when they are hungry.

    You are putting your own situation in front instead of considering the other person's situation.

    =====

    I do have sharing turned off for most of my hotbars with the exceptions of stuff I use for every class.

    Thing is, I don't want just a "workaround" (Even though what I want kind of counts as a workaround) since I want to actually be able to full control exactly what happens. It is why I make macros like:

    /ac "Stone II"
    /ac "Stone"
    /ac "Divine Seal"

    /ac "Stone"
    /ac "Virus"

    /ac "Aero II"
    /ac "Aero"
    /ac "Holy"

    /ac "Aero"
    /ac "Presence of Mind"

    (These change from time to time)

    =====

    To above: I see several issues with your macros.

    Example: wait 0.7 translates to wait 1. Wait 1.5 should translate to wait 2 (or it might be wait 1, been a while).

    And yeah, I already use stuff like that aside from the chain skills since as I mentioned before, I not only need skills to go off in a specific order, I need them done fast and I need to be able to force a skill to happen at a specific time before the full chain if needed.

    That is also why it is actually an advantage for me to use macros-no queue. That means I can use a non-macro if I want a queue and a macro if I don't want the queue.

    =====

    Again, NOT the point of the topic. This topic is NOT about me. This topic is about how it would make sense to be able to use the text commands to do certain things with a keyboard that you could do with a mouse.

    The healer of love and justice! (Or the mad/insane/evil/berserk healer depending on who you talk to).
    I've played healers for so long that I can heal in my sleep literally (People have seen me do it).
    I like to do a bit of everything, but my preference is healing+support (until /that/ happens). FF14 title: Macro Queen
