The elitist here are trying to hijack the thread and misrepresent the issue. The OP is NOT joining the elitist PF groups with iLevel 85+, must have clears, etc. groups. The OP just doing duty finder and trying to do iLevel 62 and HM primals. For crying out loud, the elitist are all like unable to read or something?

The portion you quoted was stated with the OP and entry level 50 content in mind. No one is entitled to play with anyone else. If an individual or group decides they do not want to play this game with a person, they don't have to. The fact that the OP wishes to go into content blind will just lower the numbered of people willing to play with them.

No one is required to play with anyone else, that is stating the obvious. Also obvious is that the OP will not be playing with select elitist. There are plenty of elite players who are not elitist who will gladly teach, guide, help etc. They wipe and still have fun together. Luckily that group of people far exceeeds the elitist jerks. And lower the number of people equal to the amount of elitist jerks (a.k.a. speed runners) is no great loss really.

This would be great if you had a static and were all going through it together and decided thats how you wanted to experience it. But if you show up to Titan Extreme via the Duty finder without any idea whats going on, thats pretty much an hour wasted of everyones time.

By all means, experience the content the way you would like.
But if you\\'re showing up with randoms for an hour shot, WTFV.

This. Playing a multiplayer game the way you want to is really a bit of an entitled stance to take, unless of course, you\\'re willing to do the legwork to make it happen. That being said, I can definitely see how certain pseudo-elitist rage-o-holics can be off putting. DF groups have the right to disagree and have expectations, but we all have the tools available to find our own path.

Side note. If anyone wants to due some fight learning on cactuar, I\\'m usually game for a wipe or eight. ^^

Yeah...I've done a few SRs with randoms and with my FC, but I don't see how that makes myself, my FC, or random strangers elitist jerks. You had good point stated at first but finished very, very poorly.

It is your choice to take it seriously or not. Call it a rant if you want, but I don't you elitist from your rants, I am just trying to my part to counter your false claims and neutralize all that BS. Nontheless the elitist show up in the DF/DR and demand that people speed run. I see this enough times to know how they operate. Tanks that run off without a word is the most obvious, but then you have DPS that just go off and grab aggro and demand heals, and then you have healers who usually have to badger people to move faster or skip rooms etc., and then all them will bully 1st-timers to skip cutscenes.

Speed run in itself is not the problem, the problem is how elitists force the speed run. The elitist will harass and cuss a up storm, and eventually rage quit if they don't get their speed run. The elitists think speed run is the only run that you can do. Show me an elitist that doesn't speed run.

On the other hand speed runners don't always have to speed run. One of them was really surprised last night in Praetorium when we had a couple 1st-timers and i told them I would wait for them to do their cutscenes and what not. By the second boss, the speed runner said "I had never killed so many mobs in here before." You see their experience has been so distorted by other speed runners that don't know what a proper run really looks like under "normal" circumstances. Luckily we didn't have some elitist speed runner cussing up a storm.

And in contrast, while leveling my tank, I've had a elitist lancer jump show up in DR/DF in stone vigil with me also last night. Right off the bat I told the group to give me 1 min while I switch to some the gear I just got from the GC with company seals, since that is when the DF popped. No one else had an issue with that, but the lancer with all his fancy gear runs off pulls the mob gets himself killed and rage quit, because the healer didn't go heal him.

You think that has not happened too? I report them and then join right back "in progress". They don't get to bully people in game or on the forums.

Elitist are "inconsiderate asses" as you said. And some of them are not all that elite either.

It's worth repeating since many entitled gamers (high level and casuals both) need a reminder. So now that we have an understanding, explain to me how come the OP (or you) should expect me to explain a fight to you and be upset if I decide that i don't and I no longer want to group with them?

Personally I'm happy to help but I'm really just trying to follow your logical argument.
