Trouble taking down Ilfrit

FYI, Flash DOES work on Ifrit. He may resist the Blind effect, but it still increases enmity. Secondly, overpower and provoke should NOT be your main way of holding hate. Both classes get a three step combo (Fast Blade + Savage Blade + Rage of Halone for gladiator, Heavy Swing + Skull Sunder + Butcher's Block for marauder) which will be your main method of keeping enmity. Provoke is actually VERY ineffective, it gives a tiny amount of enmity. The use of provoke is that it sets your enmity to match whoever is highest, so it's more useful if someone suddenly gains a massive amount of hate, swapping tanks in 8-man content, or recovering after being raised.

But being lvl 20, I don't have the gla 3 step combo and I swear to god I used fastblade then savage, when that didnt work i used flash until my mp ran out and it made no difference either way. As for holding hate, i prehaps gave the wrong impression, I don't spam overpower to hold, but I do use to regain hate if lost or quickly aggro new mobs that appear. Am I using it wrong?
