Best Gear in Coil needs to end

This patch is just what I wanted. We were all laughing in TS on the day of the patch when we realized that noobs wouldn't be able to get as high a gear level as us. Knowing that my ilevel is already higher than all the bad players on the server is a good feeling. Before when changes where made, people might have grumbled a bit. But they either adapted or left.

Now though, if people don't like it, they grumble and pretty much demand devs to change it to how they like it. Even though that changing it to how they want, will create a new group of people who don't like it.

I know what you mean. There's no way to please everyone so why not try to please the people who most enjoy the game the most? Instead what we have had with games these days is people who don't really even care very much about games(the kind of people who use the insult "get a life") demanding that game devs cater to them. Then what people who truly enjoy the hobby are left with is shallow, mindless, watered down junk. It's not enough that casuals get 3 new dungeons and a primal and gardening and blah blah blah. Nope. They need all the best gear too. Excuses, excuses, excuses. That's all I ever hear from people. They go game to game and complain about how everything is so hard and complicated. They will never stop until every last game is the same super easy, hand holding pile of poo. Farewell gaming! I hardly knew you.
It's too late for big companies like SE to go back now. Nope. They've already sold themselves out to casual gamers. Catering to hardcore gamers would mean certain doom. But there are still companies who know that they can profit from niche titles and not every game has to be a huge AAA release.

Gear won't help you with mechanics and the only people bothered by elitism are jealous players who desperately want to succeed but can't.

Actually, I'm a little put off by the elitism. What is the point in shoving it in people's face? Yes, I post in the progression threads, but people make a choice to visit those threads, so it's a different story. I don't walk around bragging. If people say something about my gear, then I'll respond, but other than that, it's whatever. As an example, I'm not the greatest in PvP. I'm not a fan of people who lord that over others, which is why I refuse to do it when I'm in the same position. Do I think it would be cool if the gear stood apart? Sure. With all of this said, I actually prefer those not doing Coil have good gear. Helps my daily roulette runs, FATE's, etc. go much quicker.

That's why if needs to change. Because ignorant people like you. Because people like me who don't have time to get into groups to do your super elite cool coil you assume I'm a noob? The issue with this system is people in ilvl110 armor "think" they are better then everyone else. All it proves is you have a head set (which I don't) and more time then me. It doesn't prove your better. You proved the point that coil armor being the best only should end thank you.

You know, I see two right now

Both are gated behind coil.

If you take 2.1 as an example.

Gear: CT > Myth > Coil > Primals (accessories only)
Weapons: Coil > Rowena Tokens > Zenith questline > Primals

Yet as far as 2.2 goes. You can see what's missing.

It's not bad design because the only way that could be changed is if they made another raid to put the i110 gear in(which i would be ok with), but you've already said you don't like dealing with raid groups and doing coil and all that so that would be no good for you. You say you think the i110 gear should only be obtainable in coil(the hardest raid) but then you say that it's bad design. Do you like games with bad design or do you just like contradicting yourself? It just seems to me like you were complaining about it being the only method of obtaining the best gear with coil being the only hardcore raid. Would you prefer the sol gear not be upgradable through coil so skilled players can have less loot and less skilled players can feel better about themselves? Let's just hand people sands and oil.Oh, I forgot you're apparently in favor of the best gear being from coil. That can't be what you want. Maybe you just like complaining and arguing and making excuses for why you can't clear content.

I think the real crux of the matter here is that I somehow insulted your skill and *amazing* items. Why don't you just admit that and we can move on?

You're trying to save face simply by the fact that you keep replying to me. When it's been established for quite some time that you're in the wrong trying to frame me as someone who actually cares about access to i110 outside of coil. I really don't, and you're just wasting time. It's actually counterproductive to your cause. Your tenacity in trying to argue yourself out of a fallacy is quite remarkable though, so much so that I almost don't pity you. One thing is for sure though, if you behave at all like this in game, I can totally understand how you went through a bunch of coil statics.

LOL The old "i don't have time" excuse. Please. You insult good players who work hard at the game. People who have to balance work, family, and still find time to play this game. People who come home after a hard day's work studying the fight on their break and down the content.
