Here's the issue.

People that can clear coil without it don't need it.
People that can't clear coil without it need it.

Those that aren't clearing coil have an issue so getting coil level gear "helps" make it less stressful.

This is why coil level gear being accessible only in coil needs to stop. It should be the most reliable and easy way to obtain, yes. Yet not the only way since it's what breeds elitistjerks.

Gear won't help you with mechanics and the only people bothered by elitism are jealous players who desperately want to succeed but can't. I'm extremely elitist and pretty much the worst sort of person with a very unappealing personality so I'm an expert in this subject. I remember the days when I used to be the noob jealous of beings of greatness.
