I have a feeling that the Twelve are terraforming celestial beings that are testing our existence/planet out, observing us from the cosmos.

Elder Primals are ones among them who decided to intervene/participate whether of free will or outcast... a la Lucifer or fallen angels.

Don't forget people about Jenova either. Or the Genome Project of IX. Lotsa extraterrestrial in FF games.

Would that make King Moogle Mog a elder primal since his background is a ''nice'' version of Lucifer's tale? That is if he does exist since the moogle trying to help Mooglesgaurd says that they should stop believing in fairy tales?

Anywho some cool aliens would be a nice addition. Though I wouldn't enjoy it as much if they're the invading kind or their story deals with invading our world. If they could pull it off maybe they could even be a new race. :v Eh whatever the case Aliens in 14 sounds like a grand idea.

The phrasing of starship appears to be separate from Dalamud, as Ragnarok fell away from Dalamud before Bahamut was able to break free. After watching the closing CS of 1.XX, this could mean the blue 'swords' in Dalamud were actually starships, each one being an individual starship, or one starship with the ability to separate into many pieces. Dalamud was the prison itself created by the starship(s). Until they tell us exactly how Bahamut was captured, we may never know.

The blue swords are actually indeed swords. One of them fell onto Cartenau plains, the shockwave of the impact floors everyone.

I'm more interested in how the hell does a modern Eorzean even know if that's a starship. You can't identify something which concept you have never even heard of
