unless ragnarok was a abandoned starship allagans used to ferry between the ground and their prison, i don't see why it would be sensical to include a ship in the design of a prison...unless the starship is the prison.

the phrase "starship" seems to be thrown about like a toy.

Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but wasn't Jenova in FFVII and alien? And then wasn't it confirmed that the denizens of the world of Spira from FFX eventually inhabited Gaia, the world of FFVII, making them aliens as well?

The phrasing of starship appears to be separate from Dalamud, as Ragnarok fell away from Dalamud before Bahamut was able to break free. After watching the closing CS of 1.XX, this could mean the blue 'swords' in Dalamud were actually starships, each one being an individual starship, or one starship with the ability to separate into many pieces. Dalamud was the prison itself created by the starship(s). Until they tell us exactly how Bahamut was captured, we may never know.

Jenova was, yes. However, Spira was Gaia, just the past. One of the NPCs (named Shinra) is the great great great great great etc grandfather of President Shinra of FF7. So no, they aren't aliens.

it likely would have been as violent as the time in the end of an era cs if bahamut was in his physical form. i can only assume that ragnarok is one of the blades that were sticking out of dalamud, as "ragnarok" has commonly been the name of a sword in the final fantasy metaverse (bar a few, xiii comes to mind being the most recent.)

some things we will simply never know...though the armor we find in the coils would indicate that they were closer to where the garleans are, albeit with many more resources and an established dominance over everyone else.

FF8, the one that no one but me likes, Ragnarok was the name of a trio of spaceships that carried a dictator sorceress who was sealed in a prison into space.

    The implications… ¬_¬

I'm not sure how Bahamut would look in a dress, though.

I have a feeling that the Twelve are terraforming celestial beings that are testing our existence/planet out, observing us from the cosmos.

Elder Primals are ones among them who decided to intervene/participate whether of free will or outcast... a la Lucifer or fallen angels.

Don't forget people about Jenova either. Or the Genome Project of IX. Lotsa extraterrestrial in FF games.
