What some people point to as 'ears' in the hood could be horns. Wings, maybe not, but it's also possible the wings are small enought to be concealed? The body model was literally just a mannequin, so it's hard to read too much into that.

During some of the quest cut scenes, those appendages wiggled when she turned her head fast. This is leading many to believe they aren't horns (which would have remained static).

When i did the initial quest where you see her standing and talking at the port, it was a heavy wind in the Horizon area. Her "appendages" on her head shook in the heavy wind. Take that for what you will.

Viera don't have lizard tails.

Perhaps Yugiri is a unique race (and not a Gria). But I highly doubt the appendages on her head are rabbit-ears.

Perhaps they're not even ears or horns but eyes? After all, what's to really stop her from seeing anyway? Her WHOLE FACE is wrapped in a burka, not like it would impair her sight anyway.

It's not like it would even be strange for them to be. After all, look at Malboro/Morbol. What a freak.
