I'm well aware of this, but it happened often (especially in Gridania) previous to this as well. Either way, when it DOES rain, the effect is terrible and it just lags way too much compared to how it should. It doesn't even look good.
I know of the event, but what it's been a few months now this has been going on? Or somewhere there...
Thanalan is going to be a marshland instead by the end of this at this rate. Anyway I'm just tired of knowing when the next weather change is going to occur, and how soon before it rains...again.

I'd be happy if they just added a disable feature. I don't want to even look at it in its current state.
Rain looks perfectly fine as is, but I can't see why we don't have the function to shut off weather effects. Would help a few people a great deal with frame-rate issues.
I'd like to see waterpuddles forming during rain & dissapearing shortly after it stops.
Same effects with snow, and if its foggy (yet to be seen) it could start dripping from trees etc.
Id also like to see some "Heat" effects distorting the field of view, just like when its really hot in the desert.
Just some ideas, and well the option to turn the effects on/off if they get too annoying or too damn laggy.
I used to be Noomy...then i took shiva's Hail Storm to my knee...
I also had issues with weather effects

Good Morning
I would love to see weather effects in town.
If it's raining all around ul'dah, then why isn't it raining inside town? If there is a reason it is not raining inside town (due to a magic spell or something) then please add lore to explain WHY it isn't raining.
Also When entering/leaving a tunnel I would love to see a smoother transition with weather effects. Right now if you enter a tunnel it is like passing through a invisible barrier to instantly go from raining to no rain. I should be able to stand inside a tunnel and see and hear it raining outside. Sometimes theres logs, etc you pass under in Gridania that you can be standing completely under and the rain is coming right through the log over head.
Also it would help if there was an intermediate weather animation, like going from no rain to 50% rain, then full rain.
Basically I'm looking for more realistic weather related to physics, rain shouldn't pass through solid objects.

I think the rain is fine but why i don't see never lightnings and sounds of them in la noscea? I'm unlucky or they are on boat only? It's bad if it's the second one..
