FFXI DRG Pet Wyvern Minion

The story behind the wyvern drg pet in 11 was you found a egg, it hatched (right after killing a evil dragon in the first place) and you raise the baby dragon to be good. Dragons in FFXI were just as evil as they are in FFXIV. There's no reason something similar couldn't happen for the drg in FFXIV especially considering most of the hate toward dragons is from Ishgardians in the first place and as a adventurer you have no real affiliation to the Ishgardians and aren't bound by their laws or crusade.

Also yes I realize the post was asking for just a wyvern vanity pet which would be fine too. Simply saying all these people flipping out saying a wyvern pet would be impossible for a drg in FFXIV are just looking at the Ishgard hate for dragons but not the fact you're not even Ishgardian.

A minion? Sure. I already have a Wind-Up Dalamud/Bahamut minion following me around insulting every single NPC in the game (the Calamity was a big deal, apparently). No reason Dragoons can't have a Wind-Up Wyvern following them around insulting every Ishgardian.

I have to admit I love where this thread is going already lol. But yes, I'm just referring to a minion.

A minion sure, but what I would really love is to see the wyvern brought back for a future pet class. Beastmaster perhaps? I really miss the pet as well as the mechanics involved with him.

My favorite part of XI was my pet dragon, so yes i want one back. Won't happen but a minion would be great. Maybe with job specific Limit breaks maybe one of the DRG LBs could summon a dragon for a big attack.

How about a wyvern mount for dragoon specifically? Whm mount , war mount, pld mount. So why not a drg mount? Is that so hard to believe? I for one think this above all else would suffice. Much more stylish then some ole minion anyhow.

Not sure why SE didn't add the Wyvern for DRG like it was in XI ... I mean, they could simply split some stats when the Wyvern is out and add them back to the DRG when the Wyvern is not out. That would avoid the "DRG going to be weak with a fighting pet" argument :x

Did you guys just blow through quests without reading the dialogue? In this game, Dragonkin are the enemy, there's not a chance in hell that a Dragoon would have one as a companion.

just because i am an adventurer who is a dragoon does not have to mean i have to be as close-minded as ishgard.

also we have minions for odin, GC members, and bahamut. i don't see why we couldn't have a wyvern minion or mount.

The soul of dragoon aka Nidhogg's eye enables u to control a fraction of power from nidhogg itself which became the dragon king after midgarsomr dead, so please explain to me why THE BLOODY HELL, the DRGs ere can't control a wyvern eh?
