Now then, based on just the interaction between you and I, I'm sure anyone looking at us talking is going to have more of an understanding of why people keep pushing for NMs. Hell, I saw a post earlier when someone deliberately asked what the big deal was about them.

Well there is one thing you have people who post here who have points and those no matter if you agree or not will troll you. but Yes I JUST WANT TO BE FREE TO SAY HEY IM GOING TO Camp or go find an nm that drops (mats,weapons,gear that is unique) I would love to do a fight where im not saying he going to do this at this point and that at that point . A random fight ability of a monster where it can think on its own . not 2 AA and then its going to do ground move and is marked out all that does is make lazy players which in this case everyone is . Everyone logs in and plugs in and starts the rotation of the previous month year etc etc.

This is specifically why I said I'm opposed to the claim system.

One thing I would like to see added to FATEs (to make them somewhat bearable) are extremely rare pop-NM drops for a tier based NM system, akin to ZNMs from XI. I think this would give FATEs a useful purpose.

Someone's going to have to elaborate on what a ZNM is; I've researched these things previously in order to understand more about the things FF11 players refer to most often, but there are a ton of different NM categories, so if someone could actually explain what they are, it not only makes it easier to understand, as well as add player perspective on why its supposed to be awesome. Plz and ty.

I don't like Fate implementation either, but I would rather they re-evaluate the system and do something about its rewards and the challenge presented. It has a decent amount of potential, but it is just implemented in a sub-optimal way.

Well, people are gonna troll regardless. I'm sure people think I'm trolling most of the time because of the way I put people on the spot and it looks like I'm being combative. You'll also get people that will troll you because they don't understand what you're talking about. My point was just you can reduce that number substantially just by doing what I suggested. I genuinely do wish anyone that wants to actually improve the game the best.

Here is why NMs should stay in FFXI. I played FFXI camped King Arthro for about 4 months every day. It was a 24 hour spawn with a 3 hour window of when it could pop. Now then King Arthro wasn't challenging at all it was just a crab with 35000 HP. .

That was your Problem if you didnt want to camp do KSNM99 and boom sonic belt so your excuse is invalid. there was alternatives for a person who wanted vbelt or ingot or was it cloth . either you did not know or didnt do your research and do the KSNM99 should not be my fault or hold back on hnm content

Fates are the new NMs I welcome them over FFXI nm system anyday.

FATEs are neither entertaining nor rewarding. At least in FF XI NMs had a reward associated with the struggle.

I wouldn't mind there being HNM/NM content, personally. A few wandering NMs that can be soloed would be nice along with some that require a group to defeat. A better system for that though in this game at least would be something that has been mentioned before by having to pop it yourself or as a group. Maybe have certain items drop from dungeons/raids (CT and Coil)/treasure hunting chests or even FATEs to give people some incentive. This would give all types of players a little something.

thats the problem usually these are fate related but theres no real rewards to justify the time doing them and on top of fates just being a zerg fest requiring no skill and hope you get enough hits in for gold.
Not my idea or anyone else's idea of fun.

solution - get rid of fates its just fail and bring in some proper open world stuff nothing that can be implemented can save it to be honest.

Uh no they moved it to KS99 which had like a 1% drop rate which was harder to do getting 99 seals it was not like that originally. Did about 23 of those runs in 1 day with LS before and not one belt. I would say I did 220 of those runs over the course of the game according go my LS database we saw 0 belts. That is not a valid alternative. Also that didn't happen until a long time into the games life cycle where they put it in KS99. For the longest time camping KA was your only option.

Gotta learn to read the mood.
They (we, actually) don't want them to be something tied to a singular questline.
We don't want any "open world activities" like Atma.
Something it is in the environment, independent of quests is what is being suggested.
"Open world" content, at least in my definition, is defined as something that you can just walk out and participate in.

king arthros drop rate was not much better and your chances of claiming was slim at best.
