First world problems: ffxiv edition.
I got so lucky that I now have nothing left to do.

Relic Novus tier already confirmed as i115.
I agree with what you are saying here, however that isn't what the OP is saying. OP is "bored" because they can't have the best gear in the game without doing the hardest content to get it, which is ridiculous. The only people who need i110/115 gear is people doing Second Coil.the op has a point, because your static isn't constantly online simultaneously, especially when playing with friends in different time zones. it'd be great if we could raid every time we logged on, but this is dependent on other people. so you're forced to either do the atma grind, farm levi/mog, farm old coil, or level other classes. if you have no interest in any of those things aside from raiding, the game does seem a bit boring. I'm really hoping gold saucer turns out to be what i expect, because this game really needs some more fun, leisure things to do. i don't count fishing, find it pretty boring. chocobo racing and card games would keep me playing for hours.
I think what OP means is, there isn't much thing to do other than coil right now.I agree with what you are saying here, however that isn't what the OP is saying. Which I can sympathize, cos it's happening to me. Log in, do daily roulette and coil, log off.
That's why OP was talking about continued upgrade on Levi weapon or something, cos he wants something to do. Yeah, I would want something to do too.. so I went for a second set of Animus since Novus was postponed :/
Normally you first get best gear and then do hardest content in game (black summons in FFX)...I agree with what you are saying here, however that isn't what the OP is saying. Special in xiv where you mostly just have DPS race it is strange to get better DPS "after" beating the race...
In JRPGs, usually (well, in JRPGs, you usually either get a now-unecessary ultimate weapon, or a 'proof of completion' key item). In MMORPGs however, the strongest challenges always drop the best gear. Even if that gear is an unnecessary trophy of sorts, people will still go for it.
...Well, that and because any MMORPG that plans to continue growing will eventually introduce something stronger, so achieving that is like a headstart on the next challenge.
Not so much speculation as an actual roadmap published by SE. When you think about it, it was the prefect PR tool to encourage more people to work on their weapons. That was speculation in one magazine only.
Given the amount of work that's gone into Atma/Animus and assuming the same for Novus, it makes a fair amount of sense to have them on par with Coil weapons for 2.3.
All SE wants is people to have a reason to farm High Allagan for a few months, currently it's this way, but don't expect that to last. They'll give us a VERY good reason to work on Novus when the 2.28 patch drops, IMHO.
OP go get some sunlight or find a different game to play..this game isn't designed for the no lifers![]()
