So what if someone prices it at 499K vs. 699K. Big whooping deal. If you believe your price is right, then buy the darn thing at 499K. Put your money where your mouth is. Buy and then resell it for 699K. After taxes, you should still come out ahead like 150K or more. Why doesn't the OP just do that? Or any of your whiners that want to have listing fee?

The under-cutters are give you flippers a chance to make a windfall. Isn't this the obvious situation for buy low sell high? What you ain't got the guts for this? Then shut the _____ up!

You know where the insanity is? The same item priced below 499K has all sold, but you think you can gouge other players for 699K or more, and there are almost 1 dozen of you greedy mean crazy fools insisting that all the other players be gouged for 699K. Seriously that is the insanity!

And quit telling me and other buyers that we should have to pay more for your crap. It is NOT going to work. The market board as it is great. It works good. I sell my stuff just fine. I always aim to be priced to be second lowest. If the market is there, by being the in between price, I get the stuff to sell within a week and i get good gains. Undercutting by a gil is just a wast of time. Put yourself in the buyers shoes, and price accordingly and it will sell.

Maybe because as the OP I'm BUYING the stuff not selling and was mostly amazed how much of my money they werent' going to get.

Way to go reading the thread and paying attention before criticizing, but I guess its easier to just bitch people out.

And for those who said the screenshot was useless without the info on what sales had been made and for how much, I made a reply with that info as well.. if you look on page 1....

If you are buying stuff, then what missing gil are they NOT going to get? You buy the lowest price one, then the next sale will be at the 699K range. So they will get the gil they want. It is NOT going to go missing, unless everyone else with a brain agrees that they have no interest in giving away gil to the price gougers.

Heck it could all be a setup, with them and their friends. 9 out of the 10 price things high and one prices at 20% below because it is their turn to make the sale. And then they switch it up one you make your purchase. They have people deliberately being shills. It is just like the bogus MSRP, or suggested retail price that no one ever sells at, but they will be listed anyways to make you buyers think you are getting the deal of the century.

If you are the buyer, I suggest you get smart fast!

Repeat after me, there is only one price, the price things sell at. It is the only price the market acknowledges and respects. The prices for things that never sell, they might as well not exist. And FWIW it is the same way in real-life. Paying more for more/better/higher quality is a to be deliberated carefully, but paying more for the same lousy crap(or worse) is nothing to be proud of, just makes you poorer, or increases your costs, you liabilities, debt-load, and/or your risks. Simple fact of life, real life and online, you are only getting a deal, when you get it for less than someone else, i.e. someone else had to be the sucker having paid more.

And the last thing the market need is stupid inefficiencies like listing fees. That helps no one, not even the greedy sellers themselves. Slowing down the market does not make the sales any better or get higher prices or more volume. If just make for a slow market, and nothing selling. The extreme version of that is north-Korea, and less extreme are the third world countries where you have rampant crony-capitalism with corruptions and bribes.

BTW, it is said that insanity means doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Guess what, these greedy sellers keeps overpricing stuff over and over and it does NOT sale, and they are expecting that it would be sold magically.

That's still not particularly informative, though, since you still didn't name the item or give the dates of those 1.4 million sales versus the date you were looking at the market listing. If anything, if there's only been three sales so far the real culprit of this price-drop may be all the crafters that rushed in to flood a market that didn't have a very strong demand.
