does it really matter, as atma shouldnt be the hard part of the quest, in fact the books should be a hard enough grind, not the horrible rng wall, and then stupid amount of time farming tomes and then books.

Getting the animus is perfectly fine, there's no need to change. Yeah getting an Atma is brutal, but complains go on, and on, and on. But SE has so far still done nothing for it. I'd rather work for my equipment, not handed out so easily.
