Getting the animus is perfectly fine, there's no need to change. Yeah getting an Atma is brutal, but complains go on, and on, and on. But SE has so far still done nothing for it. I'd rather work for my equipment, not handed out so easily.
Well apparently it is a problem if Square said they had to delay the patch with Novus weapons due to people getting Animus too slowly.

There is a BIG difference between LUCK, and a grind you have to work through. to get your relic that was a grind you had to put some time and effort into. That i will do and enjoy even if i go splat against titan 100 times i dont care i know i will get it eventually. but with the rng based luck grind i can do 12 fates and get all the atma, but I can also grind every day for the next year and still never get all 12. Ill admit that is very unlucky but it is possible.
I meant on the Animus for working hard, getting a weapon that could be the strongest I rather work for. If the weapons going to beat High Allagan, it would have to be a lot tougher to obtain than normal. There is a system of balance required, Atma is a little too evil yes, but RNG has done more worse things in previous MMOs.There is a BIG difference between LUCK, and a grind you have to work through. to get your relic that was a grind you had to put some time and effort into. Just cause "there's worse" out there doesn't really excuse the design for this game. Square simply didn't think this one through and now they're feeling it.
"Could have, would have, should have"
I played Payday 2 and most of the updates and changes work similar to this game; push out the new stuff and changes, collect data and see what people like and don't like, then change accordingly. The Atma quests have been out for a few weeks and Square already took notice that people haven't completed the quests. There will be changes, but it won't be overnight. Square needs time to think of a way to make the Amta quests more open to everyone without making said quests become an instant gratification.
I'd be happy if they just made the atma be more like focus on boss fates or something... Or certain boss fates only will drop this - alligned with the zodiac and such(this is what I actually thought when zodiac weapons and fate farming were mentioned - you'll have to grind the fate bosses that fit the zodiac to get it).
i dont mind working for gear, but basing something that seems to be required for "progression" is rather silly. progression should never be based around luck. sure gear drops are luck, but nothing nearly like this. also anyone that does this grind for a subjob is insane. ironically, i have been doing this grind for about a week for a few hours a day. if i am not doing my dailies i am doing this. its hard to spend time on this when i also am trying to gear up in other ways. i have 5 now...so hopefully in a week i will have them all.
the thing is i grind for hours...dont get one. go to a new zone and get one in 10 minutes. its all luck and it gets really frustrating.
and to know there is another ridiculous long (but more defined) grind after this is just crazy.
