I'm just too focused by the point that if someone doesn't play, then that someone is not allowed to have a bonus because he didn't play.
It can have a good side though. I could've had a harsh week working the sh*t out of my butt and then I can catch up with my friends/LS/group thanks to this bonus.
On the other side, I could play other games just to have a bonus experience, and when my LS/group pal/friend has spent the week to gain his 3 levels, I spent my 3 days to reach his 3 levels, and he would go like "...you piece of...".

We're both right in this case. Now I'd like to see a Dev's answer to this =D
I think I should clarify the kind of system I'm advocating.

To use your job example, you work 40 hours a week making $20/hr. You skip a whole week, and on your return, you get 16 hours of $40/hr pay, and the rest is the standard $20/hr.

No matter what way you slice it, the more work time you miss, the less money you make. But the $40/hr bonus is there so you're not completely screwed for missing work (because your company is so nice).

That's the kind of bonus exp system I'm advocating.
