When was the last time u tried t5? Echo made it so different.
I tried before 2.2 and it made me go full on healer mode. But now with echo i am able to help kill the big snake / conflags and dreads. * the accuracy on the new i100 body helps a lot.
Stop treating like t5 is still the hardest thing out there, i know it's only common sense to keep cautious and the same routine but when yoshi decides to keep buffing echo in coil then of course unconventional methods will become viable.
If i have to wait for content to become echo friendly then i'll gladly wait because atm i have no place in anything else sadly.

That it's t5 doesn't matter... I was just trying to use an example, though your posts about playing it with tank gear kind of suggest you weren't "going full on heal mode."...

The point I am trying to make is that it impacts those around you... a lot...

Maybe you would be happier playing a warrior? They get self heals and as a result can tank/solo a number of things even if the healer is down, and really can be OK off-DPS too...
And you wouldn't get heat for it and, if you play well, you shouldn't have trouble finding an endgame FC...

(If you don't care about endgame, there are plenty of social FCs that really don't care about your playstyle...)

Maybe it's because most casual fcs/ls feels dead and players play mostly solo while she's looking for more of a "group" fc but those don't want her in because she "plays the way she wants to play" rather than the benefit of the group. I think this sums it up prettym uch.

I thought u guys wouldn't mind sparing me 200k seperately from tee and adeline.
Because i thought u were my friends but i was wrong. I'll still give back the money as i promised tee i would.
For clarification, you spent gil on maps that we helped you complete. Anything else you purchased/spent was of your own volition. Secondly, you seem to mistake the idea that you can buy friendship/comradery/trust from the people you play with.

If you had 1 mil to throw around to get your expensive glamour mats, why didn't you just spend it directly on the mats rather than trying to create some strange cash flow involving the FC?

People have already harped on this, but I'll plug in my two cents, too, for your sake. This is a game and it's meant to be fun and all, but you know what's not fun? Spending 2-3 hours of my free time having to heal with you. It's not fun when our 2nd Coil tanks are dropping on Twintania with echo buff and the WHM has the same presence has my eos.

lol, you obviously haven't done a lot of T5 (you're Lodestone says you still have yet to clear it...so much for it being so easy). I've been farming T5 all week, probably hava 25+ kills now this week alone; tank, heal and DPS. Doesn't matter how much HP you have; you can and will wipe parties if you can't do Twisters. You also will wipe parties if you can't heal the MT through Death Sentence, the OT through Hatches, or take a Divebomb into the wall (or, even better, throw everyone else with a Divebomb into the wall).

You don't have a place with anyone because you choose to play this as an SP game, where you focus on yourself first and foremost, expecting everyone to be even worse than yourself and play the "hero" of the party. You will never get into a group of people doing modern (or even the most recently "nerfed" content) the way you play. You are a liability to serious players, not an asset. You need to change if you want to do things with others on a regular basis.

You need to establish normal relations with fellow players and potential friends first. It sounds like you are expecting everyone you meet to accept and adjust their playing to accomodate your preferential "quirks".

If you really want to make and keep friends for the sake of playing with, you need to tone down your agenda and prove to people that you are a decent person AND player. If you can show people you're competent and capable, THEN you can start expressing your thoughts and feelings about your... "customization". If said people truly admire you as a friend, then maybe they'd be interested in seeing what you can do with it.

Overall, remember that just because you think a certain way, your potential friends can perceive it differently. Be mindful and respectful of people you want to develop long-lasting friendships with. You'll acquire true respect if you do.

Sorry u're havn a hard time Yum. Might try making your own FC. I did and I've been happy every since. Well, where I'm not happy is all this stupid grinding but it's not people related unhappy, lolz. Keep your chin up. Making friends isn't easy or sometimes possible but that doesn't mean there was anything wrong with you. And I wouldn't listen to those silly pro obsessed people. Tough games make for anxty know-it-alls.

How did this thread become that tanky healer thread? Eh, I've already responded to that nonsense. Anyway, here's a genuine response and observation regarding sociability on FFXIV

    A) Technology has greatly developed since earlier MMO days. Many people I know hardly say anything in random PUGs/DF parties and even in FC chat because they're on some Voice Comm
    B) The channels of chat in FFXIV are numerous. With 8 LSes, an FC, party and occasional tell, it's hard to pay attention to any number of conversations that are being carried on. In FFXI, you had party chat and your LS. You might have been in multiple LSs but you had to equip that other LS to read anything.
    C) Cross Server DFs - due to the way everyone treats DF (going in with no expectations of success, efficiency, etc.), the most fun is typically had in DF because people aren't uptight about putting up the fastest numbers, etc. Unfortunately, those people you just had a great time with, you'll never see or speak to again (well, highly unlikely at least).
