Strangers everywhere u go

It's been a sad life for this whm, she's been desperately looking for a crowd to belong to but unfortunately never could find one that would take her in.
During the early days of release she wandered about meeting new ppl and things. Life was great after she met her first fc, wondering what it'd be like to belong to a fresh guild; she accepted and thus new friends were made. Months later the population of her friends started to dwindle like her hope for belonging as it was reduced to her and a friend. They both left after being left with no choice.

After joining this bigger and more established fc, she felt like she was just another statistic and left.
What was heart breaking was when her friends stayed behind; leaving that poor whm to tread the lonely world. After awhile, she finally decided to make her own fc which she did and recruited a lot of new players who were kind and nice.
But just like the others, everyone ended up offline for way too long.
She knew she was just denying the truth more so running away from the reality that she wanted to escape.
After erasing her faliure she felt like there was no hope left. But to her surprise she saw a recruitment for an fc that sounded great. So she tried all in her might to be accepted.

Luckily she did and she was so happy, all these ppl were fun and interesting. Seem like a committed bunch. Atlast, the whm thought she could let her guard down and enjoy the love and warmth of her peers. But just like before, that hapiness was crushed when she found out she was just living an audition the whole time.
A test subject if u say; kicked out of the fc she thought was her home, broke her heart and her will to try and enjoy the fc life. She's come to acceptance that not everyone can live a life surrounded with friends and hapiness, some are doomed to tread the path of loneliness. Unfortunately she's one of them.

I had a few false starts... FCs that I thought would be small and friendly but they only talked to those they knew well. One larger FC that had skilled people and were friendly to chat with... but they only seldom helped those outside their close friends and I couldn't get a coil static with...
I never got kicked from any, though. That's harsh...

There's a bittersweet ending... I did, eventually, find an FC that's both endgame capable and very nice, and does a lot of side activities together and helps each other out...
The bitter part is I discovered I don't really like FFXIV even with a solid group...

That said... I do have a little tough-love advice to give...
If you're still doing the tanky WHM thing, and want to run endgame content, that's a problem. There's a lot of mechanics--instakills, knockoffs, etc--where no amount of HP will save you... And ignoring or failing to deal with the mechanics can get others killed as well...
The incoming damage is also really high, so you do need that MND from WHM accessories to keep the party alive and keep the other healer from going OOM...
If you don't want to do endgame stuff--primals, coil, etc--you can do as you like, though...

PVP is definitely a place to try unconventional strategies, since everyone focuses on the healer there and it kind of shafts the traditional trinity...

Not long ago, a friend asked me if I want to join his Titan EX if I didn't clear it yet. So I said yes. I told them I have latency issue here and won't be able to dodge most of the AoE most of time. He said "It's fine, we'll clear this for you". 30 minutes passed, constant wipe up to 20% echo buff, everyone grew tired. Some started blaming me for not be able to dodge, even I survived at Super Bomb phase. And then :
"Looks like we need to kick you."
Me : "But why?"
"You can't dodge at all, plus you a DPS, and we totally lacking it. Sorry, I need someone to replace you that can dodge"
Me : "I see, guess it can't be helped"

And here's me now, nearly cried after the run and voted kicked from it.

In all honesty it is
We are a small/med fc 70 members of which 15-20 are highly active
We all help each other out and we are getting stronger as a core group
To bad your not on our server I'd invite you if u were

Ik tht feeling
Even if ppl say it's just a game/ grow thicker skin, there are still real life ppl behind those charcters. It's so pitiful when we have to deal with these situations while everyone else is having a blast.
