Why do people hate on tanky healers?

Lol...I just want to say for one going to i55 to i90 weapon is like 200 points on a 400 potency heal. Already double what you said i50 to i90 is without the other 11 pieces of gear. I'm under the impression you dont have much endgame experience as a SCH and absolutely none as a WHM. The fairy also has illumination that increase healing much like divine seal and physick and embrace pairs are on par with Cure 2. Plus I dont know how much better you can get at burst healing than 3 instant cast heals per minute.

because baddies gimp them selves, by focusing on stats that doesn't pertain to them, so like me guess you have a paladin that has 5k mp pool because its different.

all it means is your gonna throw out more cure 2's going oom where others can keep up with cure 1's with the occasional cure 2

Lol i love it when i see healers complaining about the lasers in ultima HM and how it kills them while they r trying to dodge and cast etc.
Those lasers just feel like a pinch XD
Just slap a regen and medica 2 on urself with divine seal and just heal away at the tanks and party cuz u'll usaully be back up to full full hp after every laser sequence

I loled when I saw this part. That clearly tells me that Yumi can't dodge a damn thing if he/she has to rely on stacked health to stay alive. This whole thread is "Look at me, I have high HP because I can't dodge stuff" Why don't you just come out with it and say that you can't dodge stuff and die to stuff, hence you stacking HP to try and make yourself look good. I've done HM Ultima no problem, I can avoid everything and heal just fine. I love that fight, it's a good challenge and it's fun. Sadly I have no need for anything from there. I did it to help others out to get their items. And another thing about Cadacus swiping at the healers during split, I've been swiped at and still lived. Furthermore, all that can be avoided by timing your shroud at split to reduce aggro, and asking your tank to kite the 2nd snake further away around to where they need to tank to avoid accidental swipe. Never been swiped for months doing that way. So, honestly here, who are you kidding? You're just showing that you're using the extra hp as a crutch at the expense of less heals and less mana just to keep yourself alive rather than keeping everyone else alive, all because you can't dodge stuff.

That reply was a lotta text, but it could have been summed up with just a part of what you have in quotation marks. "Look at me". Just that. The thread could be titled "Hey look at me, I'm different!" and not lose any of its essence. LOL.

Yumi, I love the idea of being a battle priest/mage! In Ragnarok Online, I used to ME(Magnus Exorcismus) everything in sight at the same time I supported my comrades in battle. I hate when people force me to be THAT healer all the time. I love dealing damage as a WHM (because I am a mage, after all), putting all those other DPS classes to shame. Maybe SE should rebalance healing classes by removing Cleric Stance and making all our "offensive skill" rely on stats like Mind.

Have you tried equipping 1 hand/shield sets? I am a bit curious.

Theres almost no difference between using 1 hand+shield and using a staff.

And you must play with some pretty terrible DPS if you are out-damaging them on a healer.

Tanky healers ? What a strange idea... just dodge.
I dont feel being more tanky gonna make me more confortable in instance, it will do, but not as much as healing more.
