Self-centered beings who think their departure from the game needs to be announced in the forums and that they think they will have any significance in the greater scheme of the game. To answer your grinding issues, yes there is grind but it's much better than many many many other games I've played. If you can see the light at the end of the path, then it's really not too bad. There are MODERN games that you may be grinding for MONTHS and maybe even YEARS and depending on who you are, you may still be no where near your goal. Right now animus is obtainable in a matter of weeks and you're already going boo hoo...

Goodbye and you shall not be missed.

You, my dear, need to look at the bigger picture. He/she WILL be missed, maybe not by you, but then who are you? just an insignificant person that nobody cares if they see/hear from ever again He/she is not the only one leaving the game, and one thing game devs don't like is a diminishing player base. Scattered around these 100s of posts about atmas are many folks who are leaving. There are many new games out there to go to. There may even be some who were thinking about leaving, and these "I'm leaving" posts have just gently nudged them over the edge to do just that.

Right now animus MAY be obtainable in a matter of weeks for SOME people who have had a lot of luck. Right now though, there is a massive amount of people who have spent hours and hours and still don't have their drops. People keep throwing out the "casual" insult about this content. There is no way this is casual. Casual players have a life, family committments, jobs and perhaps only a few hours each evening to farm these, and that doesn't allow for all the other more interesting stuff they could be doing in game. This content is for the no life, no job, cellar dwellers who CAN spend all day and all night if they wish....farming these. That, hopefully, is not the demographic of this game, and if it is, then that goes some way to explain the toxic community this game has.

Now get off your high horse and put yourself into the shoes of a guy/gal who has the aforementioned life...tell me if you think it's worth them coming on for a couple of hours and mindlessly grinding for...nothing. As they have a disposable income isn't it likely they would find another more "fun" game to spend it on? A game to relax and enjoy, not to come home from work and replace one grind for another

You know nothing Jon Snow... Welcome to the world of MMORPG's... There were people that did the first coil for months till they got lucky and got their first drop, there are people out there who've done T5 a million times and still never seen their weapon only to finally see it and roll a 4 and lose, my cousin did 70 Crystal Towers coming home after work everyday, and never saw his scholar gloves, there's a man out there in FFXI who played for 4 years and never got enough currency to get his relic weapon... Life's not fair, you enjoy the good, with the bad. How you choose to handle the bad, and if you choose to pick yourself up after shitty things happen is the real question. Do you continue, or do you quit? OP gave his answer.
