That makes me sad... that this is what they consider longer term goals - bad rng roadblocks. If this is their "version" of it, then yes it is awful.

It's too bad they didn't "test the waters" with a long and engaging quest.

Damn yo, you people are some gigantic babies. It's only been a bit over a month, and everyone is crying foul over the Atma quest. Yes RNG is terrible and the Atma quest should be fixed, but it's not so cringe worthy people should start insulting the man. Yoshi-P has been keeping his ears to the streets, so to speak. He wouldn't have let this nonsense go on long unchecked.

they could have just released the quest as planned cause ppl who finished animus put at least a bit more time (and maybe effort) into the game. no one would have been hurt if those could already continue with the quest while others catch up. and if the next step requires items you actually have to win over others, waiting another 4 weeks just creates more competition, which in this case is not that funny...
Then they could have monitored the situation and if necessary make adjustments.

Which is where you are so wrong....people who got their Atmas in 12 hours, that's pure LUCK, so they certainly didn't put a "bit" more time and maybe "effort" into anything, all they had was good luck. This attitude of "I'm uberI have 4 atmas" is ridiculous, it means absolutely NOTHING...except they were exceptionally lucky. There are folks on here who have been solidly grinding and still only have 1 or maybe 2 Atmas, and I'm sure they put a lot more time and loads more effort in than the aforementioned lucky ones.

So no....lucky ones now have to put up with a bit of bad luck...the quest doesn't continue because the MAJORITY of players don't have animus.

People should be rewarded for finishing their animus now with getting to move on to the next part of the quest. I don't see why we have to wait because other people aren't there yet.

If you read what I wrote, you didn't see me refer to myself, I have my Atma on one Job and about to get 4th book ( so yes, of course I realise there is more to it), and have 7/12 atmas for 2nd job. It's the people who have been grinding non stop and have hardly any atmas to show for it that I feel sorry for. The people on here who say they have put more time and effort into something that depends totally on RNG (luck) just because they got their atmas collected in double quick time, are now whining that as they have worked harder (haha), they should have the next part of the quest.

I have both, but I also didn't get as lucky as others who got their Atmas in under a day or 2, neither did I have pre-formed Myth Farm parties who were prepared to do an entire stretch of 30+ runs worth to wiz through up to each book... and I still have my Animus :l

And there are people who are in fact less lucky than you who have yet to finish gathering their atma in spite of a not insubstantial amount of grinding. It's a garbage system and the people defending it genuinely terrify me.

I personally refuse to do the animus quest line as is. Not only is it stupid that it takes you forever to get the atmas, but then when you "upgrade", the only thing that changes is the iLvl. Stupid. Then you have to spend 1500 myth per book, and each book has 3 fates that take forever between spawns. No thanks. All it is, is a stupid time sink. I'd rather go play another game instead.
