    i think it could be something like FFXI 2hr ability nothing great but useful in a bind and yes i know we have stuff like those like hallowed ground but something a bit more but not much more

    That's essentially the same thing as a limit break on cooldown. DPS will always have an average/consistent number during the fight (with small gaps for mechanics such as conflag or divebombs), heals will always be around the same unless people are bad at dodging. That would always lead to the LB filling at the same rate. As for tanks getting limit from taking damage, that would defeat the purpose of them using damage mitigation cooldowns, but I digress.

    Regardless, they'd all build in generally the same amount of time unless your play style drastically changed... which basically makes them on a global cooldown (since on average it would always take the same amount of time to charge for any given battle).

    I guess we just have a difference of opinion. /shrug

    If it's get implemented, to make it not OP, they'll have to make LB much weaker than it currently is.
    And the result is:
    When you want to single LB the BOSS, it cannot do as much damage as now because you'll have a mix of melee/caster dps, and caster LB cannot do as much damage as melee.
    When you want to area LB a group of things, it cannot do as much damage for the same reason.
    Healer LB will just become a Medica with no MP cost. (party raise will be too OP)
    Tank LB can no longer able to save you in fight such as Ultima's orbs.

    For dungeons, no. Out soloing/smaller party, yes.

    I'd rather each Limit Break just be more unique, though.
    I don't want to use a Buster Sword as a Dragoon.
    I want something Dragoon related.

    Which is why I vote no also.

    As content would have to be balanced around having the LB available.

    Individual animations for each job, oh yes! seeing MNK use a big sword looks kinda silly :P
