Off the top of my head there are definitely visibly elderly hyurs in the game- the grandfather in the Dorma quest line comes to mind. I've wondered before if adult characters are not visibly ageing simply SE does not want to make a new character model for every time skip.

Maybe Squeenix just isn't very good at making people seem slightly older?
Given, 15 years is a bit much, although 5 years wouldn't change much for people between 18 and 29.

On-topic, though; I think it's very possible there's a parallelism and symbolism between important characters and the Twelve, even in the vein of being reincarnations. I do not believe that Urianger or Louisoix are more than Bible-old (where people like Solomon could live for over a hundred years, although not over ~200, and I'd give some of that to the idea of them both being of an elvish-inspired race). I can't wait to see more of G'Raha Tia (best NPC since 2.0, if ye ask me) and hopefully more of Sharlayan. I would agree with the Rhalgr story referring to the Ascians, although their role in the overall "keeping" of the realm is still mysterious.

I think you missed my point
What I meant is that people may age slower in Hydealyn than in our world, so the fact that there are indeed old people is kinda off topic

Or yeah SE may just be too lazy x3

Well I think so too but some people do think that Louisoix and Urianger were not born in this era, personally I do not agree with this idea because it simply look a bit far fetched to me but who knows, maybe they do are waaay older than the rest.
G'Raha Tia? The name doesn't ring any bell to me xD

Isn't he the Miqo'te in the CT cutscenes?

Well, most lore about elfish races is they live very long lives; sometimes a thousand years or longer. Others its just a few centuries, but still, usually elves live longer than humans. So seeing elezen not aging within 20 years isn't odd to me at all.

We also don't know lifespans of Hyur, Miqo'te, Roegadyn and Lalafell. Longer lifespans means signs of aging take longer to appear, shorter means its more noticeable.

Yes, Magis is correct; G'Raha Tia is the new Circle of Knowing member from the Crystal Tower/Labyrinth of the Ancients unlock quest.

Hopefully we'll get lucky and they'll eventually release "aging" character creation options as well as aging lore for the races.

I can't remember well but I'm pretty sure in some other thread, someone theorized that lalafell stop physically aging after a certain age (in some cutscene you can see a lalafell as a teen during an echo and later see him as an adult in present but there is no changes besides his clothes)
But now that I start to think of it.. What if this theory is not just for lalafells but for every one in Hydealyn?

When I read over your post you seemed to speculate that since Lalafells seem to stop ageing that may be true for all the other playable races as well. I was just pointing out that Hyurs at least do age. It is certainly possible that Hyur lifespans are longer than humans unlike what we have been assuming or that the game’s years are shorter etc since we don’t really have much of that context right now.

EDIT: . . . For some reason I'm recalling that there was info from the Dev's about Hydaelyn's year. Does anyone remember/have a link or am I just misremembering?

Okay my bad, I mis-phrased it and it ended up in me sayin no one ages after a certain age..
However even if they don't seem to age, there still are signs of aging for lalafells, such as papashan (the old sultan sworn, not sure the name is correct tho) he does have grayish hair and beard, but other than that he still looks like a child, I think there's also somewhere an Hyur that look somewhat old, but like papashan, it's just his features that make him look so.
SE probably was just too lazy to create other models than the basic ones for minor characters :/

Ooooh now I see who you're talking about.... Then? What's so great about him? He just looked like any random minor character to me.
If his character is indeed somewhat special (by that I mean that he really have his own "character" not the basic lines that seems like every single NPC that is not really important to the story have the same character mind)
I think I would have at least remembered him, I rarely skip any discution, especially in end game, however I can't even recall his face nor clothes nor where he is, all I can remember is that there is a male miqo'te in the camp, just like I remember the cloth seller in ul dah is a woman hyur, only because I passed by her quite a lot of times (or was she a miqo'te too?).

Oh, I'm not trying to say the character is not memorable, just that I don't remember him much and thus do not see why you like him.
