Bingo! So many complain about lack of open world content then complain about FATEs. If there were no FATEs open world would have nothing.
So what do I hate about this game? These GD forums is what I hate about this game.
you didn't quote me, but TY for the info on Balmung and Gilgamesh. I RP in the DF and people think I'm trolling. I RP with my FC from time to time and they enjoy it but they have seen/heard the schtick before. Im not a hardcore RP'er but I really do enjoy it when I'm up for it. I kinda want an environment where more people do that.Dreading the DF because of the long dps queue times and the probability of running into impatient assholes (why can't I have THAT RNG when I'm crafting or farming atma? >.>').
Oh... and cowls. TT_TT
Um, you're on the wrong server, that's why. Try Balmung or Gilgamesh for rp. Trust me, it's there.
This is why I've rolled alts on Balmung!you didn't quote me, but TY for the info on Balmung and Gilgamesh. I RP in the DF and people think I'm trolling. Female Mi'qote. Way too many. Way too many.
What i don't hate, but find it as sad, is that there are no faction leves ingame anymore.
I might just move my character there. I started on Goblin because a friend of mine wanted to play on a low pop server. He had some IRL stuff happen and isn't playing atm so I think a move to Balmung might be in the pipeline. I see a lot of people on the forums are from Balmung. Is it super populated?
Whispers are disabled in dungeons. I'll be mid conversation with a friend, and they zone in and I can no longer speak to them.
I'm also not a fan of being trapped in a dungeon once I enter. Unless I've missed something, I can't just leave to repair, or do something else while the DF finds a new tank when he drops.
Hate to think what you would have done before youtube or strategy guides existed. Sometimes I miss the good old days where people had to figure stuff out on their own.
You can ignore the trinity if you make your own parties, though. There are certain combinations that seem to work better in specific situations (one extra tank in Cutter's Cry, or one less tank in the 8-person story dungeons, for example) but sometimes it's also fun to just make an unusual party combination and see how you fare.
And I really think they should abolish the timers in non-Duty Finder parties.
