Never said that, just saying people don't have to be dicks about it, if they want it for glamour, then hit greed, not need. If theres no other job in the party, then go ahead and hit need.
Theres a reason they're called greed and need
Thing is, your damage is going to suck ass if you're using worse than a primal weapon, which knowing how bad a lot of people still fail at Titan HM, they could be stuck for a good while.
Selfishness goes both ways. Just because you are low level doesn't mean you are more entitled to take a piece than someone who has been farming it for months.
Different needs remain needs, regardless of how puny you might think they are.
And again, people are entitled to roll on anything as long as they have participated in the run. You avoid this by speaking up and saying you need something, and in most cases this ends in mutual understanding. I gave up pieces of gear I wanted for others just like they did for me, and greeded and needed as we saw appropriate.
that makes no sense, if im on drg job , and im doing ifrit hm for the spear (vanity) and going as DRG to get a better chance at it, why i would roll greed ? when i can roll need and only roll against other DRGs, if other drgs want the spear they have the same chance as me

Again, theres a difference in doing it if theres no other drgs than when theres one who actually needs the spear.
That's the wrong kind of "need". Thinking "Oh, I need that to finish a glamour set that does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR ME IN THE LONG RUN" does not entitle you to screw over someone who truly needs it so they can progress.
It's less selfish when you actually need the gear because you're going to use it to help you do more things, rather than someone who is just going to use it for looks

Again what right do you have to say that their need isn't good enough.
YOU HAVE NO RIGHT! stop being so high and mighty saying that people who invest the same amount of time for a different reason don't matter when it comes to Needing. Take a look at yourself in the mirror since the truly selfish one is the one who tries to decide what is a good reason for needing, and a bad one.
Also it does do something in the long run. Glamour you fool.
And this right here just proves how shitty the community on XIV really is lol Sucks that a lot of people came from WoW / children.
Glamour does NOTHING for you in the long run. Ooooh, Aaaah, I look pretty, but what did I do to obtain it? Screw over that new guy who might not ever get the gear he needed.
I agree with the ones saying that he might have farmed ifrit all day just to get that drop, you just hit level 50 and did Ifrit. Of course you both have the right to need.
If the pilgrim's chest would drop in any expert dungeons I'd press need soo hard, cause that's mainly why I do them, and if someone else wanted them they should've played as a healer.
I did moggle king 15 times for the mogwand, I would never pass it for a new healer that one time it dropped
So I think he did nothing wrong
Lul now you degrade into telling people they are children/wow players. Your the child here who is basically doing this.
"This is how I think you guys must do as I say, and what I say is right if you don't agree your just children. Lulz"
^ That is how you are behaving. Stop acting like you have the right to tell others what is a good reason for needing. Stop acting like you can label a community. Stop acting like you are better than everyone.
