I can guarantee you this, if they made ninja a blink-tank like players made the FFXI ninja job become then that would solve the tank shortage in this game. The majority however has already voiced that they do NOT want this lol.

Perhaps if we could see the other hand of the Miqo'te in the Through the Maelstrom promotional art, we could be more certain.

Looks to me like that Miqo'te is holding the Lalafell in their other hand. I always assumed they were catching them so they didn't go overboard. The boats tipping down and they're all falling, so the movement of their hair and clothes is blowing opposite the direction their bodies are moving. But the Lalafell's legs and robes are going towards the tipping side of the boat, indicating he's being pulled backwards.

No but seriously. It would be neat to have two separate weapons, but I also hate having to gear dual wield characters, by farming two weapons. Especially with all the unique/untradeable. Can't even use 2 of the same knife.

Isn't it possible that the "Thancred/Thief" type is just the class, and the "Yugiri/Ninja" is the job? To me, Thief and Ninja are too similar to split off from the same class.

Even if we could see the other hand, and it was empty, I would still want to know what weapon is in the right hand. Definitely isn't a PLD weapon based on the perceived size and grip. Almost wanted to say it is a bow, but the hilt ends before the body and it lacks strings.

Let me stop you right there.

All jobs are named for established FF jobs. All classes have names that are not already established FF job names. In the Japanese version class names are as simple as "sword wielder" and "bow wielder". New classes and jobs would most likely follow this pattern.

Thief is a job. If it becomes a class, I'll eat my tinfoil hat.
