I was so not prepared. Gearwise, I am overgeared on my tank.... but jeebus, I was so not prepared. Almost everyone else in the group was new too, but I have not seen a pt fall like the first time I stepped into Twin last week.


On a side note, do you go for the Primal weapons after you complete the quest line for the Primal Ex's? I finally stopped being lazy and started the Primal Ex quests and downed Garuda today. I have been trying to shy away from raiding and force myself to take it easy, but the bug is constantly nibbling at the bit.

There's a pretty tough Tank switching mechanic in Garuda EX where the tanks really have to know what they're doing. Most of the time my groups have wiped and we weren't able to complete were because of that. For other classes it's not that tough as long as you know the positioning and mechanics. I'd recommend this video if you want to learn those quickly and you're not a Tank. If you are, you'll need to do a bit more reading before you attempt it.

The tank swap mechanic in Garuda EX isn't tough, you just have to remain calm about it. My group has never missed a swap as long as both were up.

How were the tanks? And did you have melee dps who couldn't dodge wicked wheels?
get 4 ranged dps and tanks who know what to do and this really is the simplest primal.

Almost every team will disband because they are shocked by the difficulty increase from HM -> EX, so impatience is the reason. People do not read chat or even speak english, i started marking everything to attack/ignore and it gives good results. The part i cannot change is the disband after few wipes, so i try to do my best teaching people (using marks).

Also, EX primals are not a quest - it's an endgame content that is supposed to take weeks to pass. People new to mmorpg seems to be unaware of this.

Unfortunately this. I found that Ex was definitely a whole new ballgame, but it's meant to really push you (much like Coil). It's heartbreakingly heard, and I just downed Titan EX today for the first time. It's meant to hurt, but it helps make that victory all the better.

Get a steady group going and learn the fight together ... Good luck on titan if u can't do garuda

What's tough about provoking Spiny at 2 stacks and Shield lob/Tomahawk it to make sure you get aggro?

Keep track of surpana slipstream, keep track of Garuda slipstream, glance at spiny stacks, keep track of wicked wheel. This seems too much for avg. Tank.
