Extreme Primals

I haven't been able to clear the Howling Eye (Extreme) even once. I don't believe I will ever be able to clear it. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, if anything, or if I lack the proper gear, or whatever it is.

I think I'm going to take a break from this game. Maybe I'll quit playing altogether. Nothing in a game should ever have this level of heartbreaking difficulty.

I just failed like 5 minutes ago, we went until there was 8 minutes left. The last wipe was so damn close too...The reasons for wipes were able to be pointed to two parties:
1. The OT who could not angle Chirada correctly during tornado phase, as a DRG, I either do my standard Thrust combo over and over again, or hope I can get Impulse Drive up before I get knocked around by a whirlwind. They angled her badly on several parts, one of them was the OT and MT tanking right next to each other in that very small area between two tornadoes, there was no way I could dodge so many AoEs and Wicked Wheels and everything else.

2. The DPS and WHM who kept killing the Spiny plumes early, at least 4 wipes because of that, the same BLM I know did it once or twice.

The fight is really all about the tanks. They have to position Garuda and the sisters properly and pass spiny back and forth. If you're failing repeatedly then most likely it's the the fault of the tanks. If you're the tank, then that would make it your fault. Study up on how to properly position.

Also people need to not be idiots and not kill spiny plume too early.

Yep, lets not mention all the DPS that for some reason always get hit by aoes and for some unknown reason love to get hit with the debuff windburn multiple times to make it harder on the healers.

Those mistakes aren't that big. They don't cause wipes.

Almost every team will disband because they are shocked by the difficulty increase from HM -> EX, so impatience is the reason. People do not read chat or even speak english, i started marking everything to attack/ignore and it gives good results. The part i cannot change is the disband after few wipes, so i try to do my best teaching people (using marks).

Also, EX primals are not a quest - it's an endgame content that is supposed to take weeks to pass. People new to mmorpg seems to be unaware of this.

As a white mage, my average item level is about 75. I have no other level 50 jobs, although my paladin is close. I've never been to the Binding Coil of Bahamut. I have unlocked it, but I've never been there. I don't know what gear I should go for, other than working on my relic weapon zenith. I only have an end result in mind, but nothing for how to get there.

iLvl 75 should be more than fine. Did it as iLvl 82 BLM before echo was a thing and echo will buff up til 50%. If you still can not beat it after that it is a execution issue. Most likely on the tank's end of the rod.

I would however recommend investing in better gear. If not for this so for later content.

Unfortunately this. I found that Ex was definitely a whole new ballgame, but it's meant to really push you (much like Coil). It's heartbreakingly heard, and I just downed Titan EX today for the first time. It's meant to hurt, but it helps make that victory all the better.
