Tank outdpsing All 4 DPS possible while doing job?

If you think you're above "elitists", why sink to such behavior as to try to get him banned for being a "meanie"? Nothing you've posted here seems to constitute bannable harassment on his part, and you acknowledge it didn't reach that level which is why you used the old "ban him for parsing" fallback. Seeing as I highly doubt you'd report someone for parsing who wasn't being "mean" to you, you're attempting to use a widespread technically-against-the-rules-yet-tacitly-endorsed activity to make yourself the judge of what should be bannable harassment.

Yeah, I agree with this. It's honestly one of those things you should forget about and move on. I'm not saying it was right because it wasn't, in fact I despise people similar to what the OP had to deal with. The best thing to do is to not give them the attention. If they know they got to you they got what they wanted. It's best to deny them that.

I know, I had a moral dilemma going through with it. Don't think I did it just because I wanted to feel like I am a better person or anything like that. I just thought maybe I could make a difference and make a stronger community. IF I made a mistake doing this, I apologize to you and others, but I just didn't want to tolerate this behaviour any longer, especially from his FC.

I probably would have debated it for awhile myself but everyone has their own methods. If this person truly gets banned then I'd have to tip my hat to ya because we need less people like them. Just be prepared if SE doesn't find anything. I've heard they take reports seriously, especially false ones.

I debated over it for quite a bit and got some thoughts from friends, and whether or not Square Enix does anything is fine, I just hope I made the right decision and that we can all move on. If I made the wrong one I will be the first to admit it.

In any case, back to the thread, I suppose it's impossible for a tank to outDPS any DPS class if there is equal skill and gear, especially if the tank does have to tank.

I would never have done this, and never did before, but he put the party down. After realizing he came from an FC of what I know to be elitist/trolls (one member goes into CT to exploit a bug and stop groups from progressing), I decided to go through with it. Not because I'm a better person or because I sunk low, but because I decided to step up and not tolerate that sort of behaviour. I joined with the intention of helping and strengthening the community. I've downed Titan ex a bit and joined to help teach; this guy just had the intention to ruin things.

I neglected to mention that he rudely stated that if we didn't one shot it he would leave. The reason why I neglected to state that was because I gave him the benefit of the doubt initially, thinking maybe he had something else to do. But instead he proved he only intended to screw us over. If that is not harassment, then he implicitly stated he used a parser, just to put the cherry on top.
