Sounds like you're reporting him for being what you perceive to be an elitist attitude rather than for the intended purpose of actual griefing via parser-use.

I'd advise not to abuse the report function. GMs have more important issues to deal with.

I debated over it for quite a bit and got some thoughts from friends, and whether or not Square Enix does anything is fine, I just hope I made the right decision and that we can all move on. If I made the wrong one I will be the first to admit it.

In any case, back to the thread, I suppose it's impossible for a tank to outDPS any DPS class if there is equal skill and gear, especially if the tank does have to tank.

He showed evidence of being a jerk. :P He probably lied to make himself sound superior. Don't think there was much evidence of a parser being involved. Not saying there wasn't, just not seeing much saying there was.

impossible for a tank to out dps the DD, like you said he was from a elitist FC, so someone didnt do that .01 extra DPS then he left.

Report him for using unauthorized third party software to monitor DPS and harass or insult the players, easy.

I dunno, I think it's possible. Look at pvp with equal gear, tanks can do some serious dmg Not impossible for tank to out dps the dps, if dps are not chaining well.

Came in to say whatever everyone else said. If the tank is out DPSing 4 DPS they're all naked using a lvl 1 weapon and put all their skill points in "Intelligence" as melee, and as the magic casters put all their points in strength.

I don't know for a fact, but isn't it completely possible for a tank to out dps melee dps simply because melee dps need to move around so much more? If a tank can sit on his ass and execute his rotation without interruption, while melee dps hase to constantly break chains, then its not impossible for tank to do more dps than melee dps.

some damage > no damage at all from dodging.

Again, dont konw if this was the case. just playing devils advocate.
