Another interesting idea might be to show a large hovering counter with end-of-duty reward exp on it, and it ticks down over time letting you know you're getting less and less the longer you take. When you're in a CS, "FEVER MODE!" could flash on-screen and the reward decay doubles or triples its rate, as well as the counter catching fire.

There is never a justification for trying to lock people out of content just so that you can save a few minutes.

Not everything has to be a speedrun x.x Taking your time with content can be fun too!

EDIT: Woaaaah this is a bit of a necro. Kind of a shame this is still an issue Dx

Thank you for holding your ground. You are good man. It is too bad that ring doesn't hold them in, and they can still trigger the bosses or aggro mobs.

Or the new people can just ignore them. They are people on the internet.

How about EVERYONE get over it.

The last time this one guy (who was rude) said he was in a hurry, I started to walk to each boss. This was CT. It took a while

These ones are funny, because if they wait for people proper, they'd usually have one extra DPS and one extra tank in the fight. :P (I've been locked out of a fight and they actually took forever to kill the mob because they didn't wait. Their loss, right?)

Well, if players actually stated at the start of dungeons that it is their first time, then I'll assume it isn't. Don't get me wrong, I have no problems whatsoever with new players, we all where once, and find it more satisfying to clear with new players than a one shot with experienced. Not saying have problems running with other experienced when I just want to get some tomes.. meh you get the idea, or not :P

So more often than not no one says they a new in CM and Prat, and pretty much every other dungeon also. Am I supposed to guess? It's no=one elses responsibility to check if someone is new, is upto the player to state they are.

Why is so many push their own responsibilies onto others? Supposed to teach others dungeons? I don't mind, I'm not everyone so should not be a given that players you party with in DF will. To tell you how to play your job with pointers of what they are doing wrong etc. What if none in that party has played that job?

There's a point where you cannot expect others to do things that you could easily do yourself, for yourself. Stating people may be rude is no excuse It's just avoiding accepting your own responsibility to make people aware of your situation.

What I'm getting at is if you don't communicate at the beginning then don't expect everyone else to magically know. Also don't demand of other players as no-on has that right, your asking 7 other players to follow one. Be polite in requesting, be respectful, not as I said demanding, and you may find people more open.

How about no.... Everyone shouldn't have to suffer because of a few that get told to skip CSs. I've only seen this happen a few times where someone tells a player to skip CSs, I even spammed the heck out of Castrum/Praet @ launch. Now it doesn't matter if someone watches a CS (didn't even matter then). People need to grow a pair and tell whoever is telling someone to Skip CSs (cause its their first time) to stfu. I've been to a few Castrum/praet post 2.1 where someone tries that crap and I'll tell them to keep going and don't worry about it. People are getting so over geared for that content its crazy how fast things go. I've had so many parties where we managed to kill (???boss) before vanishes to cast Ultima, I think parties can manage to carry 1-3 players while they watch CSs.

Most of the time I ask who is new or I can just tell by a players HP.

Now what I do have a problem with is some lazy players who pretend to be new and watch CSs so they can get carried and not have to do any work. Had a SCH do this last week, Didn't notice until 3rd boss in Praet and by that time it was to late to vote kick him because as soon as we zoned he grabbed the last 3 bosses when they loaded.

This is not correct, I would say everyone regardless new and old are forced to skip.
Why I can't enjoy the CS everytime I play it? I don't understand why only new players can enjoy it.

Simply remove the skip function for ALL contents then everyone can enjoy every CS everytime.

    always fun times ^^

The way I see it is as follows.
The game directs newbies to use DF. Therefore, if you queue for DF you should expect learning parties, cut scene watching, and so on.
PF was added for the experienced players to have control over their party set up.

I'm really sad that this is still an issue.
People need to learn to have some patience and respect, especially when using DF.
