My Turn 7 clear last night had me clocking at 136 DPS in Shield Oath on the boss, and I never came close to death, since the largest hit the MT takes in that fight is 1800. Adding in the parry gear instead drops me down to a meager 90 DPS. Take that same exact number set, and apply it to the 2nd tank in the group, our warrior, and his DPS also sees a large gain, and your adding in nearly 70 DPS to the fight, which has a decently strict Enrage timer, where the entire group gets struck for 11,000 damage all at once.

Most fights don't allow you to run with 1 single tank, due to stacking Debuffs that get you hit for greater than 130% of your HP level, so a Tank swap is required mid fight. Once that happens, your parry is rendered worthless, and you basically are a Rage of Halone de-buff. With added Crit-Determination gear, you can at least dish out some decent damage.

The incoming damage in the new coil on Tanks is so low, that 2-5% damage reduction is not actually making enough of an impact on the healers. If it were in the realm of 10-15%, I would care, but even my healers are telling me to stay in my Crit/Determination Fending gear.

Would like to point out that i do not necessarily disagree with you. However, in this case, the solution is not to itemize for dps over parry with tome and allagan gear, but to use crafted gear to get BOTH the parry and way more secondary stats, at the expense of a bit of vitality.

the (Edit!) 3 reasons I don' like to do that are because:
    1) I'm poor. =(
    2) I don't like to sacrifice ilevel, or Vitality (And Defense) for the sake of DPS.
Edit! 3) After looking into it, the crafted gear is WAY lower end, and not nearly competitive with i110 raid gear.

As it stands now, Vitality is literally the "defacto" Tanking stat, and we can see great returns from Armor, in that we take greatly reduced damage from attacks compared to Dragoons, Monks and casters. So I wouldn't rule out consistent mitigation or Primary stats for the sake of secondary stats.

    -EDIT-
There are not even any new Accessories to craft, and form what I know, Strength and Vitality are both capped already on each crafted piece, so in essence, your sacrificing a LOT of primary stats for the sake of secondary stats.
Crafted legs vs i110 legs: You drop 10 Strength, and 13 Vitality on just this one piece of gear for the sake of an i90 secondary stat cap. (Not worth it)

Here is the thing: yesterday, i92 gear oriented parry, on T7, i was doing 125 to 130 in shield oath on the boss. Doing your best to not forget any SW/CoS when in dps gear, then slacking in tank gear is going to skew your results. If anything, the numbers you provided just proved that you should most definitely go in full parry because the dps you will gain by going with no parry and det and crit instead is going to be negligible (6 to 7% more likely, a bit more if you go with str accessories). Those numbers are on par with what you said and what i said, i.e foregoing all parry is going to make your dps in T7 go from 125 to 136.
