More than likely the FFXI Lazarus project.I must say that I don't know whether I will stick with this game much longer regardless of the changes and the SE name has soured with me. However Yoshi-P has impressed me tremendously with his efforts and his willingness to listen to the community. I had totally given up on this game, and now I'm intrigued again.
Probably too late for this game, but SE would be smart to let Yoshi-P take the lead in whatever future MMO they may be attempting.
If I remember the Holy Bible correctly, Lazarus was a lucky guy resurrected by Jesus Christ.
In this meaning the FFXIV itself will become Lazarus in a few months.
But you can rest assured that the revived FFXIV will not become FFXI-2. As devteam promised in 4Gamer's interview.

Good, FFXI did not stand the test of time very well.If I remember the Holy Bible correctly, Lazarus was a lucky guy resurrected by Jesus Christ.

It's 9 years old and I still play when I have some time, horses for courses etc.
Good to hear things have settled a bit your end, as they have here (somewhat). It is of course a shame that people can't appreciate all the work they're doing.Tiss,
Most of us (Japanese players) shared your pain and anger, but FINALLY we get two long interviews (talking about what you want very much, see other threads) released these two days, with a promise to introduce "one new feature per week until patch goes live". So we are happy now.
The new features in patch 1.18 are not only fixing problems but the revamping of a whole subsystem (mainly Battle system in 1.18), so it costs lots of time, but from the features revealed now it seems very promising.
Can I ask what the japanese playerbase's thoughts were on Yoshida's comments about their 'overly negative' opinions on the forums? Surely they're not as bad as the english ones...
