The word "Flying" in 1st expansion

Yoshi's said a long while back that he would like to have players build airships, and hence have some kind of airship content. He's mentioned it a few times that FC's will be able to build airships inside their house. When that will occur, I do not know.

Hopefully the airships are fully customization, and we get some pvp airship battle, with each member controlling an aspect of the ship.
Like 1 member does the flying, another does the shooting...

As fun as this would be, they don't even have normal airship functionality...let's go one step at a time xD.

Let me make a ship, like gummi-ship style a la Kingdom Hearts.... that would be pretty awesome.

Well when Yoshi-P mentioned Airships months ago there was also mention of Air-ship serving a important purpose for future contents but he did no declassify what those are.

I'm guessing at a certain point in the future content having your own Air-ship will be required to access certain contents so most likely there will be two kind of Airships players will be given being Personal Airships to solo access basic contents and FC airships for much larger contents.

Also, i'm going to guess that our first Personal Airship will be obtained through 1st expansion storyline as a basic deafult small design Airship and later we can start crafting, buy, and unlocking new designs for our Airships.

There maybe some points in the 1st expansion story where we will use our Personal Air-ship for Storyline purposes.

Also he called the new girl (heretic in Ishgard's point of view) and also the hint that if Ishgard is opened which he mentioned 2.3 will start leading that way. We would be fighting Nidhogg who is guarding/living at the city.

Well you got to look at more than just Ishgard for 3.0 Content. There are other areas that can be released other than just Ishgard in 3.0 such as Sharlayan and Ala Mhigo.
