It sounds to me like the intention is to reduce the amount of SP you can get from leves over all. We will have a completion bonus, but link SP will be reduced. If the idea is to take leves out of the spotlight, so-to-speak, then I imagine that link SP reduction is larger than the completion bonus.

well thats obvious
but it all depends on how much the linking is reduced
reduce it too much....you basicaly nerf leves
reduce it by a fair ammount and you maintain the balance


take dunesfolk for instance, you get 150 sp per link bonus in a 4 man group
if this is reduced by 50%, in a 4 man party you essentialy kill off 75 sp per link per kill(*you would essentialy get 900 per kill with aspect in a 4 man instead of 1200 if everyone links)

however! if the bonus at the end is worthwhile, you gain it ALL back. and the balance is maintained.


on a side note, i dont believe itl be a 50% cut, itl probly be more around a 25% cut, and the bonus will probly make us gain more sp then we did before, if we fully link AND complete

There's also the possibility that only the leve-holder and the leve-sharer get SP upon completion.

If the leve-sharers are also able to get an SP bonus at the end, that might open the door to some more SP-gain pseudo-"exploits".

which is how it should be, completion will be on completion of your leve, not the link

and we can assume itl obviously scale by leve rank too, so im really curious how much itl scale(id personaly find 4-5k at rank 40 per leve to be fair, at best, and if the less they nerf linking the less sp would be acceptable there)

the entire leve change isnt meant to make them obsolete, its meant to make people want to complete them after all instead of failing
also, it gives solo players a better chance for that bonus(i can see alot of people doing 1 star leves moreso just to plow through them for the bonus rather then grouping for max sp per kill)

It really sounds like that is the intention, a nerf. Who here didn't feel like that was coming though? (Of course I was hoping that wouldn't be the case.)

All my combat classes are 44+ so I might be able to get a few more to 50 before the change takes effect : P
