Amazon will e-mail you a early access code immediatly. Pre-order the PS4 version from Amazon, get your code. Cancel order. They won't bill you utill the game ships (4/14). Then you can buy the game from whomever you want on the 14th while still enjoying early access.

This isn't anything new for Digital River and SE's online store.
Ask anyone that preordered 2.0 from them when it originally released if they ever got their early access or game in a timely fashion....
I personally didn't deal with it though, but I got to read some of the forum spam during that time... It rivaled the 90k disconnect bug epidemic posts in magnitude. (If you weren't around then, during early access/final beta people would get disconnected and not be able to get back on until the game offically launched, and then, maybe not for a while after.)
I'm sure other forum goers would bemoan Digital River and their dealings with them if asked about them...

Thank you. Got the preorder items too.
So you're encouraging people to use fraud just to get in game items? Yeesh.
I really hope they find a way to suspend/ban people who do this. Especially those that already have the game and are just doing it to get in game items.

Ban people for cancelling a pre-order, then buying the game on release? I doubt that's legal on SE's part. They're still getting their money either way. Don't be a hater.
Yeah, but amazon is losing out since they're the ones that provide the pre-order code. And what about all the people who already have the game and are doing this method just to receive the in game items?

An ugly barding and an item only good up to lvl 10? Who cares? This is really meant to be a solution for those people that got screwed out of a promised early access code.
This same method can be used without any "fraud" whatsoever. Cancel your pre-order from the distributer that failed to hand out the early access code (like the playstation store) and order from amazon instead.
If you're so worried about screwing amazon out of a few bucks that is...
Pre order actually gets the moogle cap and cait sith minion again. And I never said simply ordering the game off Amazon to get the code was wrong. I said ordering from them to get the pre order goodies and then cancelling is wrong. An ugly barding and an item only good up to lvl 10? Who cares? But whatever, not going to argue anymore about why ordering then cancelling to get extra in game vanity items is shady and wrong. I just stand by my opinion people who do that should be suspended or banned.
