Absolutely not. That is probably the worst suggestion I've seen yet...Seeing as there are 9 jobs, the correct solution is 5 DPS, 2 tank, 2 healer parties. Even if everyone chose every job evenly (i.e. no more BLM than PLD) the fact that there are more DPS jobs to chose from than tanks and healers to choose from combines, it's not a really a player problem. In fact it would be better if they just removed one of the DPS roles, (such as MNK) and we would get even queue times given the scenario above.
How about I switch my original post to say "ANY class that waits longer than 30 minutes gets a xp boost or gil reward"
Switch classes? That's your solution? And if I don't like it, the long queue is MY fault? With that logic why not build a game that doesn't load and if you don't like it, play something else. Same argument.

Actually, the "correction" would be to remove a tank spot, so there wouldn't be a shortage.Seeing as there are 9 jobs, the correct solution is 5 DPS, 2 tank, 2 healer parties. Should be opposite, if DPS have to wait for a long time, then a gil boost should be given to new tanks or healers that queue - whatever is lacking so you can actually... uh... get in.How about I switch my original post to say "ANY class that waits longer than 30 minutes gets a xp boost or gil reward"

Hmm.. 5 dps roles 2 tanks, 2 healers
3 man parties: 2 dps, 1 healer -> healer shortage, ratio is 5:2
7 man parties: 4 dps, 1 tank, 2 healers -> healer shortage, ratio is 1:1 for H:T, 2:5 for HPS; secondarily DPS shortage ratio is 5:2 for DPS:T
Not sure where you learned your math.
All MMO's are the same, Tanking is probably the most stressful role you can play and is also the first people will blame when something goes wrong.
On the other hand DPS is probably the easier role to play and has the least effect on the party unless you are facing end game content.
It's just as simple as the path of least resistance.
Since you are arcanist - unlock the scholar soul. An overgeared scholar can dps most of time in roulette dungeons except cemi-speedruns, and queues are usually instant (sometimes 1-2 min).
A joke about dps (who always have the majority in any team).
Wipe2, wipe2 (lacking dps on heart/nails/whatever) - team has 10-20% echo, tank/healer gets bored and makes a vote dismiss for some random member. DPS click without thinking and instantly get into another 40 min queue because with party not full tanks/healers can leave without a penalty and insta join a new group.
For dps: long queues are result of only your decisions, so either accept them or decide better next time.
