Will I need to set up a subscription for the early access? I thought we got a month free in the box. Will the early access be free till release day then you enter your code from the box to cntinue?
Same query. I've applied the early access Code. The square enix store has not dispatched the SE version and I doubt I'll get it for Monday. Their customer support is awful. So if it doesn't turn up does that mean I play till Monday then wait for he game to turn up? Or is the code representative of the full game?
I'm in the same boat. I'm guessing they'll do like they did with the 2nd beta and add a special "early access service" to your SE account for early access until you get a key with the purchased copy of the game. I'd imagine that service would give you full access in the interim. That leaves two questions for me:
- How long would that early access last? For example, if the game doesn't show up on Monday like it is scheduled to by Amazon, how long before I can't sign in without adding a purchased key?
- When I get a disc and insert it, is it going to try and install another copy of the game (in addition to the one downloaded for beta 2/early access)? Do I suddenly have to insert a disc each time I want to play, even though it has worked fine without one up to this point?
There's both a pre-registration code to get early access (and extra bonus items) and another code to actually register the game itself. (People who buy the game after launch would only get the second of those.)
You set up a Square-Enix account and add the pre-registration code (which I believe should be emailed to you when you purchase the game) to it to be able to access the game during the early access period. Then once the game is released you get the other code. (This is on the manual in the game box if you get a physical copy. I'm not positive on digital copies — perhaps emailed again.) This code has to be added to your account (the same account you set up with the pre-registration code) within a day or two after release or you'll lose the ability to log in until it's entered.
At least at ARR's initial launch, they allowed a couple days grace period between release day and the time they locked out anyone without a registered game code. I assume they'll do the same this time to allow everyone to get their copy and update their account with it.
EDIT:
Ah, missed the last part. Purchase of the game includes the first month of access. Within 30 days after release you'll need to set up a subscription by logging into your SE account at the Mog Station and selecting a payment method, interval, and subscription type.

If you already have the game downloaded, there should be no need to insert the disk. You just need to add the code that comes with it. (Note that this is true if your downloaded version was from beta 2 or early access. If you still have a downloaded version from beta 1, you should delete that and re-install either from disk or a newly downloaded copy.)- When I get a disc and insert it, is it going to try and install another copy of the game (in addition to the one downloaded for beta 2/early access)? Do I suddenly have to insert a disc each time I want to play, even though it has worked fine without one up to this point?
If it works the same as the PS3 version, this is a Sony Entertainment Network code that you add at the Playstation Store. Then the first time you start the game, it will ask you whether to link it to an existing Square-Enix account or to set up a new one.

I have another question that ties into this...
How do you link your ps4 to your square enix so it knows your character?
I know PS4 people who entered the code already can show it by going to settings>PSN>account info>Service list and it shows it.
Mine does not show it??? How do I do this
Im sorry if this was answered already but im still a little confused... Im asking this question for my cousin who has preordered the PS4 Collectors edition. She participated in both betas. She has not recieved a early access code.. Do yall know when she should be recieving this? She is kinda freaking out because its kinda unclear and wants to make sure she will be able to play during early access. Thanks in advance and sorry if this is a already answered question ;.;
Shouldn't recieve it til the 11th.
Same way they did it last time, depending on the retailer, you may or may not recieve a code(s) until the date of offical release (the 11th), if you haven't recieved it by then (which I'm sure they say in a news topic soon) then you'll need to get a hold customer service at that time.
Ok. Thank you so much. i believe she ordered from SE so hopefully it all works out! ^^
