They're literally used for nothing except those turn-ins????
I started making my 10 silver brocades, and was getting in the high 90s% every time, but still managed to get NQ twice - I thought nbd, I'll find a use for them... except there is no use.

You turn them in for CP food. That's about it.
Yes, aside from the CP food, they are simply used for the new turn-in. I like it. They are basically just a crafted token.
Except when, like the OP, you craft the NQ version and are left with a completely useless item taking up space. They need a better purpose, especially for their costs.
Can the NQ be turned in for the food? Or only the HQ? I know it takes the HQ for the head/tool.
The vendor takes NQ for food, so they do have that use....
I wish there was more they could be used for since most people going for master books are probably 50 in all crafts and use better food they make themselves.

Way I see it, since the food is a CP food, and CP is basically your lifeblood as a crafter .. if you make any NQ "token" items, save them, and then when you finish your 50 HQ, if you have any NQ's make a few more so that you have the next multiple of 5 NQ. Its not like NQ will be all that hard to do. Then just save the food until you need it for a real recipe (3 star, since 2 stars are something of a joke if you are melded for 3 star stuff).
If I need food, I'll make one of the better recipes and HQ it. The food you get for the NQ trade in is garbage food for garbage crafting.Way I see it, since the food is a CP food, and CP is basically your lifeblood as a crafter .. if you make any NQ "token" items, save them, and then when you finish your 50 HQ, if you have any NQ's make a few more so that you have the next multiple of 5 NQ. If it was HQ it would be useable at least. But it's not. I just throw away the NQ items, it's not worth the annoyance trading them in.
