Atma weapon isn't worth the farm.

Why do people keep complaining about this. I loved the atma farm and I'm gonna do it again with another class cause it was the first time I felt that I deserved a good item in this game.
If you don't like the atma quest don't do it, but some of us like the farm so let us do it!

I read this as: "I got my 12 atmas already because I am INSANELY lucky. Now I'm going to try my luck again with a brand new Zenith and hope for the same good fortune."

Try arguing that point to players who have literally spent 6 hours in the SAME DARNED ZONE without a single Atma drop. Some people have worked just as hard as you and aren't even a quarter of the way towards finishing their atma weapon. The reliance on random drops hurts more than it helps.

I was looking forward to the grind even before I started the quest. Some people just like grinding and now we have finally got something that I really enjoy, and if everyone complains there won't be any more fun content like this for those who do enjoy grinding.

During my atma grind I added three new people to my friends list and got to talk to people from my own server instead of others in duty finder. So yeah I think this was a big step forward for the game.

Also I don't see the problem with rng, it's like making threads complaining that the royal vest never drops in crystal tower for me. I'll just queue up for another run and hope it drops

Sorry I must have this wrong I thought the zodiac quest was a long drawn out quest more in lines for a journey to show ones commitment at the end of the day and resolve. To give oneself a feeling of accomplishment for having taken under such a "grind" feat.

Also on a second note, Just curious how farming T6-9 for that one drop week after week or month after month even any different than rolling that RNG dice on the same content similarly to fate grinding?

All in it looks like its going to take me 6 weeks to complete my Artemis Bow Animus. I was one of the lucky ones who only spent about 20 hours completing the atma portion of the upgrade, but hey I also spent weeks camping Chary, Hoo Mjuu, Jaggedy Eared, Lizzy and Emperor and only getting drops from a few. I'm due. I'm also not in an FC that focus a ton on end game which places me in a "worth it" category. My feelings about SE have always been that given the opportunity to hope on RNG or grind out a known, I will always grind out the known. The books require some Bray grinding and some FATE pops and some really easy content, but at the end of the day I know what I will have and I'm not dependent on RNG since the Atma portion is over. It's not the best weapon. It is certainly the best weapon I can get without being frustrated by PUG or RNG in Coil.

Could you imagine *just* failing some DPS check on Turn 9 if your FC wasn't using full Animus? Now that would have really upset people.

Actually, the people with less luck have worked much harder than those that got lucky.

I find it ironic that the lucky ones are using this to gauge skill and are disparaging those that have spent way more time, thus "more skilled" players that still haven't completed the quest.

Regarding the forums as anything other than a loony bin is always a mistake.

Well, where else can you find someone saying that dedication to a task is proof of how good someone is- while addressing someone that has spent more time and effort on that task... and yet calls them bad?

It's plain bizarre. People will jump through the most ridiculous logical loops to pretend they are special or somehow superior to someone else.

The trick of farming atma is NOT TO STAY at same area for too long.
I spent my first 3 hours at one area and got nothing, got a bit frustrated, so I decided to do what other people did.
Don't spend more than an hour in one area and move to another area, and I got 5 of them in one day, less than 4 hours.

I am one of those people, and I agree with Kiara, but please continue implying that of all the people who weren't as lucky with RNG feel the same way you do. Really, I'd love for you to speak for me since you obviously have the amazing ability to know the thoughts of other people when it suits your purpose. Tell me, how do I feel about peas?
