Is it possible to just spend an hour or two a week doing it? Rather than spend 10 hours in one go doing it, spread that time over a few months. Maybe be done in time for the next patch?

If it was a finite grind like the myth books, yes. However with atmas, you can't necessarily spend an hour or 2 a week to progress anything. Its completely luck dependent. Plus, a month from now, not as many people will be doing these FATEs. trying to get atma when its 4-5 people doing FATEs is going to make it 10 times worse. People wanna get their atmas done and then can spend the next 2-3 months filling out myth books. The second part of that grind is ok. The first is not.

This seems to say exactly what people are having trouble with the current system.

Also note that this entire upgrade process, from this stage to any in the future, is gated. The entire process, as a whole, is totally dependent on completing part one of this stage.

I am tired of hearing the defense on having other ways to obtain similar ilvl 100 weapon

Oh because finding a progression group or making a static group is such an easy thing to do. Trying to make an static group and joining progression groups for over a week and so far only cleared Garuda EX, and hadn't even finished coil 1.
Farming atma is the only way you can get ilvl 100 weapon without sitting on PF hoping someone will join a static group you are trying to form, and wiping bazillion times in progression group

At this point in the game, you cannot clear T1.

With all of the farm groups in PF daily, you are unable to clear it.

But you want i100 gear.

the option is given to farm, over an admittedly long period of time, for an i100 weapon. This option has NO skill check, merely time invested.

So, the content is wrong because you cannot pass the skill check, and do not want to pass the time check.

Rewards come to the skilled or the patient. Be one or both.

For that matter, you want grind and RNG? I capped soldiery tomes this week doing T2 for bard hat. 0-45. Granted I have basically every OTHER drop from there now, but in 45 runs, I saw ONE BRD hat drop.
