And we're getting tired of all that whining you doing 24/7... If you put up the effort it takes to whine in 50+ forums you might have had your Atma's by now.

So you can't do either of those things but you would still like to be rewarded anyway? Got it.I am tired of hearing the defense on having other ways to obtain similar ilvl 100 weapon
Oh because finding a progression group or making a static group is such an easy thing to do. Trying to make an static group and joining progression groups for over a week and so far only cleared Garuda EX, and hadn't even finished coil 1.
Farming atma is the only way you can get ilvl 100 weapon without sitting on PF hoping someone will join a static group you are trying to form, and wiping bazillion times in progression group
SE is asking us to choose between Boredom and Frustation. No thanks, i hate both.

Lol, you remind me of my boss at the restaurant I work at, "if you have time to lean you have time to clean!"
Anyway, I'm not exactly loving the grind, but I'm still having fun. People hate the grind, and they're willing to be extra social during the Atma grind, so I have fun! You get back what you put in for the fun department!

Hi guys, I just happen to have a well fortified keep nearby. Should stop the white knights from killing outright or slowly hang, drawn and quartered.
The entrance fee is well, some what affordable...

It took a week to get my first Atma, 4 hours to get my next, then I got 5 in the next 4 hours, followed by 2 hours of nothing. The RNG is pathetic. It isn't the grind, it isn't that people want something right away, it is that FACT that you have no idea when you will get it. Could be first Fate could be 100th Fate. People don't mind doing long, drawn out quests, missions, whatever. But they want to see progress, and that isn't happening with Fates. Like someone said, I would rather have had the books only, because it is progress that you can see and follow.
And as for farming Levi Ex and Coil, the majority of people I know, still don't have access to T5 or have beaten all the Primal Exs.
I agree completely OP. It's not that it's long or time consuming but extremely boring. Grinding is fine, but mindlessly pressing whatever AOE you have over the course of hundreds of fates absolutely is not. Add to that the RNG factor and you have a recipe for disaster. If Atma's are dropping for you, it at least keeps you motivated. But, if you spend all day Saturday trying with no luck at all, well, that's a lot of completely wasted time.

That is fine. Over 3 months, its not that bad to reach those numbers. Just doing regular stuff is going to get you close over 3 months. What I don't want is to do trivial, irrelevant stuff that is completely dependent on RNG. Having to get 27000 myth over 3 months isn't fun either, but its something to work towards. And something you can do while actually doing meaningful content. Having to spend 12 hours in Lower La Noscea grinding away on lv12 FATEs and getting nothing = Quit the game worthy.Careful what you wish for. 270 dungeons for 9 books, if you're speed running(10-15 mins) turns into 2700-4050 minutes or 45-67.5 hours of myth farming. Which doesn't take into account the 2-3+ hours completing each book takes. The time sink spent on atma is nothing compared to what you'll be spending on books. Personally it took 15 hours of playtime to farm all 12 atma so the 2nd part will take 3-4x the amount of time the atma did.
All in all I'd rather not run repetitive mind numbing material for an upgrade.
All the defenses for this I'm seeing are from people who have had your experience. They get done with their atma in 15-20 hours and are going, "That wasn't so bad." How about you try spending 12+ hours in 1 zone for no Atma and see how you feel about the "fun grind" then?
Is it possible to just spend an hour or two a week doing it? Rather than spend 10 hours in one go doing it, spread that time over a few months. Maybe be done in time for the next patch?

The big problem to me about the fate grinding is you're spending so much time for a re-skin with same stats. There is no real prize for this, so you feel like you've did nothing for a very long time.
Another thing about it is that it's dealing with luck, I'm all for things taking a while because they don't want it to be like the 2.0 relic quests, everyone having every relic. I don't see everyone going "I'm going for my 5th atma! yay!!" but at the same time one person could be stuck on getting their first while another is on their 3rd.
someone could get stuck forever and I mean this forever like MONTHS before getting enve their first Atma...is my case, hours at end....days even..nothing I gave up..It could take you 1year to get your Atma your first one that is.....I have yet to see what it looks like.....and by the time I get maybe half of those that means in a year time, everything ahs moved to another step and you are stuck still trying to get what others have already overcome, just because you are having a bad luck, that is why I would like to see something more related to performance as opposed to luck..performance is measurable, luck isnt.
