Face it, Titan Ex is an easy fight and the only difficulty of that fight are players or lag - Heavily scripted fights aren't really challenging once you learn the patterns.

Bottom line is, there is a LOT going on in the fight, it gets hectic, and not everyone handles it well, for whatever reasons. Also, just because the actions performed are scripted does not mean that they will always result in hitting the exact same places.

Are you not able to dodge anything in that phase? Is that why you don't feel it's an easy mechanic?

Depends on where Landslides get placed. And I don't feel like it's an easy mechanic because it's NOT. When all that stuff comes out, the vast majority of the platform at any given time is a DEAD ZONE. Not only do you have to watch the Landslides, you have to also keep in mind that the explosions on the bombs are differently timed from Titan HM and make sure to actually dodge at the right times. It's a lot to take in at once and it's easy to be overwhelmed.

Even if I survive it, someone else usually doesn't.

But the thing i hate the most is when bards die to plumes.
Seriously. They have instant attacks and can move while doing it. So y is it they r usually the ones to die first!???

If the BRD is being expected to stack for plumes like everyone else, why should they be expected to have a better chance of dodging them than anyone else?

All the non-casters have "instant" attacks too in this game, and even if you are a caster you are not ever locked in place due to animations like you typically could be in FFXI. It's not like they have an excuse either if BRD doesn't.

If anything, MNK has the best chance to dodge because they can give themselves a permanent +movement speed buff.

Titan extreme is only extreme in random pf/df groups.
But the thing i hate the most is when bards die to plumes.

I have to ask are you talking about if they have the "I sold my soul to the devil for better connection" and still die or just in general? Cause I die in Titan due to connection issues. Get that fixed now the servers have issues. I can't win for losing. If SE has bad servers why did they even think Titan would be a good idea? In no game should having a millisecond lag effect someone getting past something

I beat him today. it's more a point of perseverence to find 7 other players that know the fight than actually executing it.

but gating content the way theyve done with ex primals and new coil turns is still stupid. a LOT of players will get left behind if they dont drop that requirement soon.

While I agree that its pointless to gate the primals as Titan is probably the hardest, I do think that locking coil in this way is good at it makes players strive for progression.

Besides next week isn't it going to be on DF and ever following 2 weeks an echo buff will be applied, so it will be easy enough for everyone soon.

They actually fixed a lot of the server lag since release. If you use lag as an excuse, you will be /spit on in the game and forums.

Titan EX is the one fight where the Echo doesn't actually help outside of more damage. Weight of the Land plumes are so huge and the arena so little that they generally (99% of the time) are stacked, that's 5 plumes that someone will eat and outside of a Tank with max echo and insane HP they're going to die. If I have someone that needs to be helped with Weight, I tell them to stay towards the back of the arena that way at the most they'll only eat 1 which is healable, that makes 4 under the main group. Then you have bombs, eating 1 bomb is healable but people try to dodge that 1 bomb and end up eating 2 lol. Gaols take out 1 DD and 1 Healer for a duration of the fight. Echo Buff does help the fight, but it doesn't make it 100% winnable with so many insta-kill abilities (this coming from someone who has no problem with Titan EX).

No the patch did help, but during peak hours of the game it's still there. I don't lag at night, others do. If you don't believe there isn't lag in the game you are kidding yourself.

Well, there is no lag for me. And many others I know don't have lag issues either. Then again, a lot of people on this game pay for the lowest internet and expect to get high end connections, wouldn't be surprised if you were one of those people.

Why do you have to be so spiteful about it? Having the lowest internet shouldn't effect me being able to get passed something. When I see people have the little dc icons next to there name means lag..when 5 people have those little icons I would believe it's the game, but they could all have crappy internet too.
Btw where I live I only get one choice in internet, it's them or nothing. I recently had to have all the wires replaced so I don't get to many issues unless it's during peak gameplay.

Do you have any idea how many people use lag as an excuse in Titan? Have any idea how many times they use that excuse on him personally when they are fine in every other instance dungeon?

Doesn't take long to figure out how much that excuse has been used for Titan in all modes IN THIS CURRENT STAGE OF THE GAME. Maybe before 2.1 that was viable excuse, not anymore in the eyes of many.
