1) people who whine and pout asking for a kick because they want to bail but want to circumvent the penalty. The penalty is there for a reason but it is exceptionally easy for the immature to avoid by refusing to participate further, sabotaging the run until you get the kick and get exactly what you wanted from the jump. The ability to leave with no penalty.

There was actually a previous topic about this. If you report a player for asking to be kicked to get around the penalty, a GM will happily come into your instance (or pull the person out, dont remember what exactly the person said happened), and put a warning on the persons account for trying to get around the penalty.

One day when i was leveling my Scholar something happened with one of my family members and i had to leave the game asap, what did i do? Just said "sorry something came up i have to leave" and left the dungeon, i was the healer so it was probably bad for them but i couldn't afford to stay in the game and i got the penalty so i think it was good in the end.

Why not just..leave?

Or just start vote abandon, if the run is going REALLY bad then he would not be the only one to vote "yes" or he could just be honest: "i don't like this run, can we vote abandon or kick me?" I would just kick him because maybe he got tired of trying and wasn't having fun, as long you are not rude and don't act like a d-bad then i don't think most people would deny his request.

Just for clarification sake, the party wasn't that bad. I've definitely had worst garuda ex runs and I felt like there was tons of potential but it was the tanks first time as well as probably a few others who just weren't speaking up out of fear from being lynched for it. No one was ready to give up, but this is all incredibly irrelevent. If you don't want to be in our party then just take your penalty and leave. Why should you get a free ticket out while the rest of us are trying to clear our objective? What made matters worse for me was the refusal to even bother playing. That shouldn't be able to fly, but it is.

The party was fighting Garuda EX, with 3 wipes. The person was a healer so the party obviously had to cave and just gave them what they wanted. I asked my FC if this was reportable and they don't know, so tell me GD.
Is this a reportable offense? Because I'm pissed.

I would LOVE that luxury. I'm not sure if you've played dps lately but trying to find a party through the duty finder is no easy task. It takes me at the very least 40 minutes just to find a party for things like Garuda EX. So when I get a little asshole like this on my hands, and they're just a fraction of what you find I know, it feels like a pretty big problem.

If the group wants to give up, that's fine. But forcing the group to give up and then telling them that you refuse to play while simultaneously asking them to let you leave unpunished is not.

This thread is so full of lols. People complain about everything these days. I have half the mind not to believe your so called chat with this guy. You sound too butrhurt about it to be telling the truth. Bending it to make your side of the argument seem better maybe? Or (if you're too be believed) he knew his irl task would take only, say 15-20 minutes so no point waiting for the 30 minute penalty or bogging down the party for all that time.
