Question about lv 50 Gathering Retainer

Does anyone know if the retainer at lv 50 with HQ gear can gather those time rare mats like spruce darksteel and the new mats that just came out?

Don't have the lvl 50 on any of my retainers so hard to say ...

No - you're not the only one - check other posts and - most of all - your calendar

I highly doubt the retainers can bring back any of the timed node items with normal botany or mining ventures.
It might be possible to get them through the exploration ventures though, if you're lucky.

so far I'm just using mine for fishing for specific fish that otherwise you have to deal with the Rng gods for. I'm not doing the random exploration one because it doesnt seem very Xp efficient. mine are both lvl 18 already on standard gathers.

Yeah - that's seems to be the only "benefitial" use at the moment ...

I'm sure these items will be obtained through hunting/gathering. The Unspoiled Items are up in the air until someone has a level 50 retainer and can report. I think the max anyone is right now is in the 30s.

I see no reason why they shouldn't be able to gather those nodes, its still requires a decent set of gear and hopefully they have taken that into account.

I think it's why you can buy quest rewards now (or a small part at least), since it means you can a copy of the quest weapon for gatherers to use on your retainer.

Not sure what you mean by "copy" but what ever gear item you equip to your retainer(s) will be gone from you inventory / armory and hence can't be used elsewhere.
