As a SUM I almost never control my pet (I do the increased damage and dot ones, but that's about it) so the biggest difference I'm seeing between SUM and SCH is you actually need to control the SCH pets a bit more, had to tweak my ps3 hotbars to add some of these commands last night, haven't given it a go just yet but will soon.
