I'm not going to say its right or wrong, but you can't play the martyr and then complain about the punishment after.
Being a martyr is part of being a whm

Btw in mmos that allows alloting gear.It has been very common for serious guilds to gear the dps first if they have choice. SE can choose to design their gear drops this way or make it fair like it was previously. Its not like this is a first. If you allow gear allotting for lockout raids then giving your dps the gear is optimal.

I guess we could change them name of the thread to "Serious Guilds screw healers over Token/Oil Upgrades"?

Well you are still disadvantaging your group if you are oiling your healers up before your dps.
More of an issue to min maxers then casual players.

Either way, it has nothing to do with the system itself. It's generally better to give player the choice of what to do with gear versus tying it all to RNG drop lists for individual classes.

    Sounds hot.

And assuming SE plan is to allow sands/oil/unidentified to be obtained in multiple ways come 2.3, then I like that for at least 3 months, progression will be slowed for everyone. 2.1 added nothing to the table, my raid group would log in for 1 hour a week each week to knock out t1-5. We had full i90 on multiple classes, some of us had all our crafting maxed out, a couple of us have Luminaries. By the end of January for those who still played a bit more then an hour, we all had like 7 i90 weapons for classes we never planned to level. There was nothing to do, nothing to gear, no bosses to down. Progression hit a wall between 2.1-2.2.

I actually love the idea of SE slowing us down
You slow people down too much and they start to lose interest and get bored because they feel they are making no progress.

What I find stupid is having both High Allagan and the upgrade items in the same dungeon/raid, any normal MMO developer would have split them up so players had more choice and different paths to follow.
