Grab a bunch of fc mates or ls mates and add a certain item on ur wishlist, wait for the demand to imcrease till becomes an orange star and wait for crafters to flood that item's list.
After there is a lot in stock, un wish list it and wait for prices to drop as ppl will be like wtf, y aren't they selling.
Buy them cheap and win lol.
Always make sure to undercut ppl and be at the top as ppl will usually but the 1st few on the list.
Always check the MB every couple of hours to see if the items u kept an eye on are still hot or not.
As a non crafter, i have been capable of making a million gil since 2.2 release but i kept all the vanity and tidal barding for myself as i wanted them lol!
The MB crashing is inevitable, milk it while u can as each time when a wave of new stuff is added to crafting; the MB will thrive once more only to die again.
When that time comes again, stock up on whatever u think will become valuable and sell it once the next semi big/ huge patch hits.

I don't plan to ONLY make 3-star crafts if/when. But when I do, I actually want them to sell. And while doing so would be great and there'd be just as much money to gain as initially invested, I'd rather sell by volume than by assumed value.

Think of it like this: If you're out to buy lunch, are you going to be more likely to buy my well-made $5 sandwiches on a regular basis, or a $50 sandwich of equal or lesser quality, based on the assumption that it's worth $50?

Your argument is not a good comparison, a $5 sandwich would have cost the maker (crafter) around $1 to make in mats, so a 400% profit, that's more profit than those selling 3 star crafts

Except your arbitrary 20k profit margin is also an assumed value, and, because I can't emphasize it enough, arbitrary. Either way, you should be looking at % net profit instead of the raw value because 20k is pocket change if you invest 1 mil+ into unlocking and mastering 3 star crafts, more so with the amount of risk involved (if you invested less, good for you, but most people, at least on my server, haven't).

    I think it's cost me around 10mil to re-meld / master for 6 crafts.

Yeah, smart, then we will see 100*99 packs of rose log list on MB for 10k a pack because it's high lv and nobody will buy them.
People won't get any sales and the one who need them can't afford the cost.

This, I was the 1st ARM on my server for 4-5 days then the 2nd (and the only) guy comes in and under all of them by 50%. I was like......what r u doing dude? Do u hate gil? Then just don't sale anything at all. I don't mind u under cut me by 10k or 20k each and all ur goods sold and mine tank there, that's fine. But why? why just destroy it when they are saling and we are the only 2 guys who can make them?

Since we can't 100% HQ 3-star with current gear I hope u good luck with that fixed 20k margin. Cuz that won't even cover ur risk margin (in the case u NQ an i90 and has to sell with a loss). It will be a good way to go broke.

lol, do you really think the wish list works that way? People who marked the 3-star gears were top crafters who just try to spot other crafters progress.
When my FC members say there is X demand of item Y on MB because of the wish list I always tell them there is no demand at all. People use them as a shortcut and that's all.
