Greetings, all of you FFXIVers out there! Yoshi-P here, amidst gag after gag and jokes unparalleled, and simply couldn't wait another micro second without bringing you my LGVHLKQP#9 Letter from the producer!

It's been super busy here at the office lately what with 2.2 having just launched and the servers starting to lag again, but I want you to know we're working to fix it as fast as possible. Please look forward to it! But all the fuss isn't being made just in game. Why, just this morning Camate reverted to his previous form! I thought he was a new fluffy chair and sat on him!


After things settled down from that fiasco I had to go and reprimand Hivinre for bringing his girl friend to work. I have to admit though, she was cute, take a look:


Anyway. Hope you all are enjoying the fate grind for your atmas! If you're already tired of it don't worry, we'll be nerfing it in a month or two (maybe even just a couple of weeks, so stay tuned!)

I'm sorry to say that FFXIV will be going Free-to-play. Our subscription numbers have fallen greatly and as such we need to increase our revenue. I won't spoil it for you too much but these are some of the features you can look forward to:

-A weekly fee to play Binding Coil of Bahamut.
-New classes and jobs for $30 each.
-New hard-mode dungeons every week (You'll get to face the same dungeon, but 10 times stronger)

These are just 3 of the many new features FFXIV will feature in the coming weeks.

Please look forward to it.

We are happy to bring patch 2.2 and a new layer of content to Final Fantasy XIV, kupo! We are pleased to hear people enjoy the game and have fun with the new content, kupo. We are officially announcing the Moogle race as a new playable race, kupo! Play as this adorable master race, kupo! We are also pleased to release new classes for the community to enjoy, kupo. Red Mage, Thief, Dark Knight and many other popular classes will be available now, kupo! We will also be allowing more customization to your mounts by adding armor and allowing mounted combat, kupo. In addition to this we are proud to present more story driven dungeons and quests, kupo! Experience Final Fantasy XIV with an extension on the storyline, kupo. Watch mysteries unfolds, make new allies and enjoy more personal experiences, kupo! We will also be adding more in game events, kupo!

Finally, we are happy to bring "Hail to the Moogle Overlord" kupo. You are now required to /bow to Kaabi Muffin every moment you happen to run across her, kupo.

Hello Everyone!

Yoshi "I play one on TV" P here. I am very excited to tell you that we are working on things! Here are just a few to get you excited:

- 3 new classes and 4 new jobs will be added soon!
- A 100 floor dungeon will be added called The Grinder. You can enter in parties of 4, 8, 32, and even solo! Achievements and prizes will be added for each party size for completing every 10 floors.
- Chocobo racing stables and nursery are coming! (My favorite color chocobo is red.)
- I love crafting too! Soon we will be adding 160 new crafting recipes and have even collaborated with famous designers. Your new gear will be amazingly stylish!
- Windows and balconies will be added to all houses and strolling npcs will wander around every housing ward. Be sure to watch what they say!
- More open world? Exploring is fun so we will be adding many new places (and some tough enemies) when FC airships are available.
- I will be making guest appearances on every data center over the next few months. Perhaps you will see me in your DF parties someday.

And to show our appreciation, every community rep can have their choice of 10 bags of coffee, booze, a scale model of their game character in chocolate, a noise maker toy for their kids, or an ahriman choker.

The theme for this update is "Stealth".

Yoshi-P here, bringing you guys some great news!

In light of the threads regarding posterior size/shape and the number of likes each thread has gotten- the Dev team and I have decided to address this issue. Say goodbye to the flat behinds of Eorzea!
In addition, we have also decided to look into the best way to address clipping- namely the feet clipping into the robe when running and when riding the mount of your choice. I do realize there is a lot of clipping but we have to start somewhere!

However, since the game is experiencing severe lag after the launch of 2.2, these changes are not a priority.
It is my hope to implemented pre-2.3, once the lag issues have been dealt with.

We here at SE are all about innovation. With this in mind, we would like to try something different. In the next expansion we will not be introducing a new playable race, but rather, removing one playable race forever. Who among you are destined to be the last of your species? I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise or anything but miqo'te. It's miqo'te.
