Just wanted to let you guys in about a secret. We are currently in the process of developing a future add on fr all the bad players. It makes the game in a first person shooter, with horrible respawns, and worse Lag. We're calling the expansion Ffxivdfcod:modernghostsephiroth. It will be implemented in content update 74.4.3.2.ninjabeingaddedtothegame.4

Hello, my fellow Eorzeans. Yoshi-P here to provide you with the latest info on the game development.

First of all I want to apologize for the drop rate of ATMA items which squeezed into production release. We were experimenting on that on out internal servers and found a perfect value to irritate the playerbase but for some reason the value was not rolled back to intended. We will be fixing that aweful mistake in the nearest patch. We are also looking into an option to decrease RNG effect on that by introducing zone quests to obtain ATMA items by turning in a certain amount of items that are dropped during FATE.

I am very glad to introduce chat system changes that are coming in 2.3. We are implementing new chat servers that will allow to use private messages to any characters even if they are inside instances!

We are also improving inventory system increasing its overall size and allowing to display all bags simultaneously. Also we are increasing armoury size based on the number of classes player has leveled past level 15.

Also in 2.3 we are dropping support for PS3 so we can improve overall texture and model quality drastically and also this allows us to increase sizes of areas and decrease the amount of loading screens! So now you have plenty of time to get ready for it by purchasing PS4. I am sorry about our fellow PS3 players but this outdated console makes overall gaming experience worse for everyone and not only PS3ers themselves.

Due to a very popular request we are also introducing an option to disable ALL cutscenes in dungeons. This option will be off by default and works only if you have already seen the cutscene before. We do really care about our players' precious time.

And finally we are removing 1000 character limit for non-JP forums as the most rediculous limit our company ever provided. We really think that forums serve a greater purpose of sharing thoughts and not just answering yes or no.

Someone has a picture of it (I don't), but there was that one cutscene in 1.0 where your character does get the chance to hold a gun. And yes, that happened.
